The company selected for the assignment is Facebook, Inc. Facebook Inc. was started at a time when online social network platform was young. The company has grown to become a fierce force to reckon with in the business industry. However, Facebook’s innovation capability is slender due to overreliance on advertisements to remain profitable. The purpose of this paper is to explore different contributors towards company progress ranging from the management approach to financial decision-making. The paper starts by looking at the Chief Executive Officer of Facebook, Inc. with special interest in the management duties and the soundness of these duties. The second part focuses on the venture itself. The last part addresses some financial information with special interest in fixed and variable costs for the third quarter of fiscal year 2013. The paper concludes by summing up key facts emerging from the paper.

Facebook’s Chief Executive Officer
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Facebook Inc. is also the founder and Chairman of the Board Mark Zuckerberg (Bloomberg Businessweek [BB]. 2013). Being the founder and chair of the company, Zuckerberg retains substantial control over company operations despite the company being publicly traded (BB. 2013). This means that Zuckerberg’s decision is prominent in the direction and approach the company takes in a highly competitive market. Zuckerberg sets the overall direction of the company, which defines the strategy products will take for better market coverage and acceptance (BB. 2013). The decisions made by Zuckerberg affect the rate at which Facebook’s products and services are moving in the market.
