To me this translates into how proud a person is of there work especially after throwing themselves into something that take time, money, and persistence. I spend six days per week for twelve months straight practicing catching, throwing, and hitting a softball. They think I am insane for travelling to away, out-of-state tournaments each weekend. However, ten years of competitive, travel softball and nearly nine hundred games have molded me into the person I am today. I decided that I wanted to play a sport, I chose volleyball. Most of my friends played the sport so it wasn't hard for me to adjust and make new friends. Becoming a student athlete was a big adjustment for me, I could no longer float through my classes but I need to excel. And that's exactly what I did. It took me blank years of devotion and persistence to finally earn a spot on the competitive team.
