The first external force Sal experiences is between Sal and Margret. Sal doesn’t like Margret when Phoebe and Mrs. Partridge told Sal bad stuff about her until Sal found out the truth about Margret. On page 20 it states,”She’s a nurse.”Exactly,”Phoebe said.” Would you want a nurse whose last name meant dead body? And that hair don’t you think all that sticking out red hair is spooky?
