Around 5.25 million crashes take place all around the world each year. Driving can be sometimes hazardous and crashes are likely to happen between you and a driver. You need to learn what to do if you are ever involved in a crash. And knowing what to do if you're involved in a crash and all of the steps that you need to perform can help you majorly.There are 5 main steps to perform if you are involved in a crash, stop immediately, render aid, traffic clearance, contact the police, and exchange information. Using these 5 steps can make the whole ordeal a lot smoother, faster, easier, and can sometimes help relieve some major burdens off of your shoulders. The first step to follow when you're involved in a crash is stop immediately. This first step is important because if you don't stop after involved in a crash your licensed may be revoked for up to a year. You could be put into jail for up to one year or could be fined as much as $2,500, or maybe even both in some cases. There may be some cases where there were injuries or death involved in the crash. If you caused the crash then you could probably be held responsible for that person's death. If you don't stop than you could cause more fines and more jail time for yourself.
