Recent statistics show that 40 percent of americans have finished with an associates degree or even higher. While 22 percent actually attended college but failed to graduate. Those numbers alone are just tremendously low for how such a big country. Getting an education is so important in today’s society, the main reason for this is to get job opportunities, you meet new connections while in college, and you have a higher chance at a better career. Why do I want to attend college? Well, I want to attend college because I want to play college football, I want to become an occupational therapist, and I want to make my parents proud. First, as a child I dreamed to see the day when I’m playing football in Clemson orange and purple. I remember as a child training with my oldest sister in my front yard every summer before the season started. Well, I turned my dreams into a reality, and earned my first official scholarship to play football at the next level. An Occupational therapist treat ill, severely injured, and disabled patients with the usage of therapeutic activities. With that being said, every since I broke my collarbone, I’ve been fascinated with the rehabilitation procedures and helping other while they’re hurt or injured. Even though I have to earn my master’s degree in order to become an occupational therapist, I have no problem doing so because I see that being my career.
