have a big problem with each other. Their families have been feuding for quite some time, meaning that the families despised each other. You can see this on page 735 lines 3 and 4 it says “ From ancient grudge break to mutiny, Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean”. This is basically saying that there was a hatred between the two families but a new type of violence has come from it. Citizens are now killing other citizens. But the people who are being killed are from each other's families causing havoc between the two families. Because of this they have set Romeo and Juliet up to fail. There love has been forbidden by their parents. And because they know this they have been forced to hide their love, causing them to go to Friar Lawrence. This brings me to my next character. I believe that Friar Lawrence is the main culprit in this story of tragedies. The reason for this is that he was giving them advice that turned bad very quickly. It started off with him marrying the two in secrecy which you can see on page 785 line 1 and 2 when the friar says “ So smile the heavens upon this holy act that after hours with sorrow chide us not”. Which means let the heavens be happy with us so that we won't regret anything later. This shows that the way he is doing this is secret and also he is saying that he hopes they don't regret this because It may be a good thing or a bad thing. He also comes up with a crazy scheme to unite the star crossed lovers. He wants Juliet to take a sleeping potion so that it will appear that she has died, because of this they will put her body in the capulet vault with all of her dead ancestors. Meanwhile he sent a note to romeo telling him to come out of exile so that when juliet wakes up they will be there to take her out of the vault so when she wakes the to will be united and can live together in peace. But this scheme turned into a very unfortunate accident which resulted in the deaths of both of them. But there is one more person who could held accountable for their deaths.
Someone who didn't even play a large part into the story. The prince of Verona. He only came into the story about three times but when he did he became a crucial part in contributing to the factors that led up to their deaths. Had the prince have had more control over his city the two wouldn't have even been in this mess because. The two families were constantly feuding and if he would have cracked down more the fight between Mercutio and Tybalt wouldn’t have happened. And if it didn’t happen then Romeo and Juliet would have actually had a …show more content…

But in the end I believe that it was most definitely a mixture of many different people and problems that doomed their love. This book is a book full of different scenarios. You can see many characters on TV shows, movies, and even books that resemble the characters from the story. One good example is “Teen Beach Movie” in this movie there are two side the bikers and the surfers and they all want to have a restaurant to themselves so they fight over it but in the midst of it all a new love blossoms between a biker and a surfer. The friend who wants to help, the beautiful girl who is being fought over between the parent approved boyfriend and the one whom she actually loves. You can see the resemblance in certain lines like when juliet's parents ridicule her for her love like on page 815 when Lord Capulet says “Wait! Hold on, wife. I don’t understand. How can this be? She refuses? Isn’t she grateful? Isn’t she proud of such a match? Doesn’t she realize what a blessing this is? Doesn’t she realize how unworthy she is of the gentleman we have found to be her bridegroom?’ . Or You can see the boys love for the girl on page 809 “ Farewell!I will omit no opportunity That may convey my greetings, love, to thee”. The ill-fated lovers, the ill-disposed parents and the ill-mannered prince all contribute to the deaths. Because of their decisions and because of their behaviors and characteristics they play their parts in the conflicts. The Prince is to blame because he failed to fulfill his duty to the people of Verona. The parents are to blame for the neglecting of their children and for demanding marriage. Good afternoon, my fellow audience. I am here today to persuade you on who I believe to be the character mostly responsible for the death of the two main characters in the play, Romeo and Juliet, a tragedy written by William Shakespeare. It is almost an ironic play because of its open and easily known ending, but yet its ending emerges the controversial question, WHO IS TO BLAME FOR THE DEATH OF ROMEO AND JULIET? I believe every character in the book contributed to their deaths even Romeo and Juliet themselves, but Friar Lawrence bears a monumental deal of the blame because he was the principle and most reliable adult that could have steered the ‘inexperienced’ couple, but his incompetency led Romeo and Juliet to a violent
In William Shakespeare’s play Romeo and Juliet, these two protagonists were too blinded by others decisions and love to act with intelligence which ultimately leads to their deaths. These characters lived in a world where their love had to be kept secret or it would have been broken, which is why the characters looked to wiser peers for help. The deep feelings each lover had for one another was influenced by their family and three people who made destructive choices. Which leads the characters being most responsible for Romeo and Juliet’s deaths are Friar Lawrence, County Paris, and Lord Capulet
Every action we take, decision we make, and person we fall in love with always leads us to our inevitable destiny. Some people are meant to live happily ever after while others may not be so lucky. Romeo and Juliet ended up being one of those not so lucky couples. Born as enemies, their love ended up pulling them closer to their destiny which was proven to be death. The main people that can be blamed for the death of Romeo and Juliet are Juliet, Friar Lawrence, and Romeo.
Mercutio, The Nurse, and Friar Laurence are the three that deserve the most blame. Mercutio, though a minor character, had enormous impact on the outcome of the play. Before the Capulet Ball, Romeo had been debating whether to go or not. Mercutio persuaded him to go by giving a big speech to him about a dream he had. This makes him partially responsible because the Ball is where Romeo first met Juliet.

I think Romeo is the most to blame for the events that occur in Romeo and Juliet because he sneaks into the Capulet’s party when he is not supposed to, and this is where he meets Juliet. Romeo isn't supposed to go to the party because he is a Montague. You know that he knows he is not supposed to be at
