In stories and plays, a lot of things get wasted throughout the plot. Whenever things get wasted, people seem to usually seek more from what was scrapped and theorize or even make alternate versions of what was wasted to make it more interesting. However, to keep the plot going, author’s do have to waste a lot of things just to make the story more practical yet still interesting to the reader. You could say that betrayal is portrayed throughout the entire storyline of “Macbeth” as this is the main factor as to how Macbeth became so powerful and great, which would have made him a great king, if not for his ultimate yet deserved death. The principal duty of a king is to govern his people in a decisive and worthy way, according to law. Not every king is perfect, as they can all have their goods and bads. A great example of a king that is held high, yet still has some flaws is King Duncan himself, as he was a very great leader but has a major shortcoming being that he trusts people very quickly. However, Macbeth was a very good king for the time that he had it. Macbeth would have been a good king because he was decisive and did fight for his country with all he had, even if he was overwhelmed by power. However, he is very aware of the decisions that he makes, as he has the decision to either step up to the crown, or wait and observe everything. Although he is a good king, he is also a tyrant in the sense that he is paranoid about everyone around
