Power can be viewed in many perspectives from a variety of people. It can be stated as a great responsibility or an act of darkness and evil. However, power is mostly used for discipline and cruelty to others. People can suffer and die from the rule of power from a group of people. Overall, power is viewed as a negative aspect of life.

Power can be utilized to torture and fool people into making bad decisions. I know that some people may say that power can be used to control the safety of a community; however, power is mostly used to torture others if they do not obey certain rules. In the novel The Hobbit, Bilbo was being overpowered by the goblins he met during his adventures (Tolkien 1937). Having a lot of power can create fear towards

others or a society. Fear can cause the dilemma of power being employed in a harmful way by threatening other people’s lives. They wanted all the dwarves extinct because of past bad experiences that the dwarves had gotten themselves into. Moreover, Bilbo knew how to dodge all their traps and dangerous tunnels (Tolkien 1997). Being overpowered can make a person or group feel weak and unsuccessful, but through all the rough times, perseverance is essential to success. With no hope of succeeding, Bilbo and his friends overcame their fears and escaped safely. Going through turbulent times can sometimes lead you to success or a great reward. Finally, Bilbo thought that Thorin was using his power in a destructive way. Thorin would threaten other camps near his ancestor's treasure because he was selfish and wanted all the gold to himself (Tolkien 1997). Being selfish can ruin somebody’s power or rank on a throne or office. Since Thorin had been acting jealous, he caused an argument between various kingdoms. All in all, power can lead others to make bad decisions.
Power can affect many people in a negative way due to the misuse of this privilege It might seem like power can bring others to success; but power is mostly used to control others to create cruel decisions.

The Indians were mistreated and all the power the Americans had was being misused. Treating others in a disrespectful manner can show people how selfish and heartless you are. Being heartless can destroy relationships with friends and family throughout your life. Misused power that the Americans had, started to take away homes from innocent Indian members. They forced them to travel to another place where the whites could not see or hear them. Having to lose everything that you loved can make a substantial change in someone’s life negatively. Cherokee tribe to suffer dramatically. With the miscellany of power, the Americans caused the Cherokee tribe to be drawn from the West (Carnes 1996). With the tribe being removed, they began to invade other tribes and their property. Invading other people's property or business can cause a negative impact towards someone or something. Through hardship and perseverance, it can help with success and the courage to follow your dreams. Overall, power can give disadvantages to others and cause adverse impacts throughout someone's life.
Having a lot of power can cause devastating actions towards someone or a group of people.

One could easily believe that power can bring a community safety and protection; on the contrary, power is abused by monitoring and torturing innocent people. Cherokee people were harassed and called rude names throughout the day. Having to be harassed can cause numerous problems towards a group of people or an individual. Nobody should be dealt differently owing to the color of their skin. Countless families were required to give up their homes and supplies to the Americans that overpowered their tribe. Next, the Cherokees were treated differently and unfairly by the whites (Carnes 1996). The Cherokees were forced to believe in another religion, as well as writing in another language. Therefore, the Cherokees had no freedom or rights to speak or take a decision on themselves. The control towards others is mostly used in a harmful way to make someone or something miserable. Continuing, Cherokees knew that their suffering was about arrive (Carnes 1996). With all the control and power that the Americans had on the Cherokees, it was used for the suffering of the tribe. The “Trail of Tears” was caused by numerous Indian tribes that were going through a harsh time. The trail was based on the suffering and depression

towards the many people that lost everything they had owned. Suffering can be explained by the control or power that many people have over others. To conclude, power is mostly used for a destructive influence regarding unimpeachable people.

When others are being mistreated or treated unfairly, it could cause numerous arguments that can lead to big consequences; families can be ruined and friendships can be torn apart. On top of that, power can resolve in death or people being badly injured. One can then conclude, power is a negative trait.
