Christ is both God and man, executing three offices: Prophet, priest, and king. He executes the office of a prophet through revealing to us God’s will for our salvation, the office of a priest through sacrificing Himself for us, and the office of a king by ruling over us. Christ therefore fulfills the offices of prophet, priest, and king, granting us our freedom from sin. The offices of Christ resemble the natures of the Godhead, in that they are three in one, yet still distinct in their nature. The offices are prophet, priest, and king. In the Old Testament the same person sometimes occupied more than one of these offices, nevertheless the officese were still distinct. (For example, Moses was a priest and a prophet, and David was a prophet and a king). Even as far back as the Old Testament Moses and others prophesied about the coming of Jesus as Prophet, Priest, and King. Deut. 18:15 says “Thy Lord thy God will rause up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me.” It was prophesied he would act as a Prophet by revealing the will of God. A priest as Psalm 110:4 says, “Thou art a priest forever after the order of …show more content…
He is the absolute sovereign ruler over all of creation. He rules over His creation with wisdom and power, and over humans as a moral ruler. All throughout the Scriptures it talks about the Messiah, A king who would set up a New Kingdom, into which all other kingdoms would one day merge. In the Scriptures, when the name “Lord” is used in place of God or Christ, it means proprietor or sovereign ruler, yet another symbol showing the kingship of Christ. The Old Testament prophesied about the coming King. In the book of Genesis, the Messiah was set for as Shiloh, the one whom the people should obey. Gen.
Jesus Christ became human and walked with men and women. The Creator of heaven and earth became a creature and entered the creation that he made into existence. God made himself known so humanity could have the most basic understanding of who he was and Christ there would be no Christianity. Jesus taught mankind a high view of Scripture and inspired his followers and others to uphold it as God’s Word. (A Starting Point for Wisdom by Jason Hiles and Anna Faith
God is the great I am. He is holy and the creator of all things. He provided the ten commandments (Exodus 20) with the first one that started out as “I am the Lord your God” (Iozzio, 2006). He created mankind and
He is God incarnate who became flesh to take away the sins of the world. He was a poor servant, an obedient child who grew up with wisdom and understanding and became man so that the Word became flesh to dwell among humanity (Weaver, 2014). For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). Jesus’ ministry was to preach and teach about the Kingdom Of Heaven and these teachings are the revelations that mankind are to live by in order to get into Heaven and find salvation (DiVincenzo, 2015). The teaching about the Kingdom was for God to restore his creation into the right relationship with himself (DiVincenzo, 2015). This was established so that he and his people can be together in peace, justice, and truth (DiVincenzo, 2015). This identity of Jesus and the work that he did on earth is important to the Christian worldview because it shows that God fulfilled his promise of the Messiah to save the world and it also fulfilled the scripture of the one that was to come. This is an essential element to the beliefs as a

World Religion is an important course of study, because people have the opportunity to learn from an insider, as well as outsider, concerning different beliefs, practices, deities, and perspectives of other religions. The Bible records the deities and religion practices in the Old Testaments, which concerned the Egyptians, Canaanites, Philistines, and Babylonians. The New Testaments, on the other hand, populated with “many gods and lords.” Paul’s letter written to the Corinthians express the understanding of knowing that the idols did not represent a real God. Paul writes, “For although there may be so-called gods in the heaven or on earth- as indeed there are many “gods” and many “lords”-yet “for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and from whom we exist and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through who are all things and through who we exist” (1 Cor. 8:5-6, EVS). In other words, the sovereignty of God is what rules the heavens and the earth concerning the humanity of different religions.
Matthew writes his gospel account to give us the view of Jesus as the King:
Chapter III Christ’s Threefold Office 1. VIEWS ABOUT CHRIST’S OFFICES In Christianity, there are three positions with regard to the work of Christ, which are the prophet, priest, and king. The use of these three offices is very common we hear in the discussion of Christology. However, this does not mean that the work of Christ is limited to these three offices.
Studying the Bible is extremely important in understanding what a Christian believes and why they believe it. Gods speaks to his people all the time through many ways. He used to speak through prophets, but then God came down to earth as a man called Jesus Christ to speak directly to the people of the world. Jesus Christ is God’s right hand man and above even the angels in heaven. Jesus is part of the Trinity, prime reality in a Christian worldview, and he is the Savior of all mankind at the end of history. Jesus’ place and role in the lives of people as a speaker, teacher, and savior is discussed in Hebrews 1:1-2. God once spoke through prophets, but then He spoke through Jesus Christ, the sovereign ruler of the universe who died for the sins of all people and now sits at the right hand of God.
Christianity is one of the world’s major religions. It’s built on the idea that Jesus Christ is the Son of God whom God sent to save mankind. Christians believe in Jesus as a leader and savior, and follow his teachings. According to Christianity, Jesus is a divine being whom a virgin mother conceived of. God made this occurrence possible. Jesus however grew and lived among humans on earth over 2000 years ago. Jesus was a Jew, he lived and died in Israel and spent his life in ministry with his disciples, teaching and spreading the word of God and the message of God’s love. Jesus is the central figure of Christianity. His contemporaries recognized the fact that he was leader. Jesus as a Christian leader had 5 basic roles: he was regarded as the messenger of God, he was to serve as a mouthpiece of God, he was to pass his message to the people whom he was sent to, he was to prepare the people on earth for the coming of the kingdom of God, and lastly to proclaim the kingdom of God and the consequences for not preparing for it.

The Prophet is a book of short essays by Kahlil Gibran on a variety of themes ranging from love and marriage to pain and death presented by a character named Almustafa. By using a variety of rhetorical devices such as metaphors, similes, and imagery, he enhances the ideas presented in each section and makes them easier for the reader to comprehend and put into practice. Although written in 1923, all of the themes are still very relevant in today’s world, perhaps even more so.
Jesus Christ was the light that came to earth to brighten the lives of the people. He taught phenomenal and meaningful lessons that changed many hearts and caused people to accept Jesus as their Lord. Jesus Christ is the life of Christianity; the Word of God in flesh. His life, his ministry, and his crucifixion where prophesied long before he was born and Christians believe that they were all fulfilled.
