The Causes of World War 2
Who started the World War 2?. World war 2 , also known as Second World War is a
global war that lasted from 1939 to 1945, as a result of relevantly conflicts that began earlier.
It was the most widespread war in history, because it involved the vast majority of world's
therefore; it involved directly about 100 million people over 30 countries (in which
approximately 11 million people were killed in the war). These made the World War 2 the
deadliest conflict in human history. Many reasons caused the Second World War, and the
most important of these reasons are : Treaty of Versaille, League of Nations, and Hitler
aggressive added to the expansion in his forces. These reasons lead to the World War 2.

First, Treaty of Versaille was the main reason of flaming World War 2. In 1919, 27 countries including the great powers of the world met in Paris , to discuss how to force Germany to pay for the damage World War 1 has caused. But Germany refused the Treaty of Versaille. According to Frank (1919), "It was my dream and probably the dream of everyone of us, to bring about the revision of the Versailles Treaty by peaceful means, which was provided for in that very treaty" (para.7). Everyone was waiting for Germany to accept the Versailles Treaty, and they did not expect this rejection from Germany. The second reason is the failure of the League of Nations that was one of the causes of this deadly Second World War. In 1920, the great nations met again in a conference which called "League of Nations" to discuss and maintains the Worlds peace. But the results of League of Nations was very disappointing. As George (1920) states, "The League of Nations is the greatest humbug in history.
They cannot even protect a little nation like Armenia. The
do nothing but pass useless resolutions" (para.4). In this conference the Treaty of Versailles
discussed again and this ruin the League of Nations, because Germany rejected one more
time. Therefore; the conference came out with nothing but increasing the conflicts between
these countries. The final cause was The aggression of Hitler, and the increasing in his army and
weapons prepared for the Second World War. As mentioned previously that Germany refused
the result of both Treaty of Versailles and League of Nations, as a result Hitler wanted to be
ready for the war, The foreign minister of Germany Ribbentrop (1939) stated that "we no
longer demand anything, we want war" (para.1). Hitler built up a huge army fully equipped
with all kind of weapons, and world's countries formed two opposing military alliances, the
Allies and the Axis. In that period it was obviously that Hitler wanted nothing but war, and
this was spark that flamed the Second World War.
The causes of World War 2 were : the failure of both Versailles Treaty, League of
Nations, and The aggression of Hitler that lead to the most horrible war in history. In my
thoughts that the greediness of some countries resulted the Second World War, and as a result of this greediness millions if innocent souls are gone.
World War II, known as the largest armed conflict in history, began in Europe in the 1930s and led to effect many people. The war resulted in not only the involvement of more countries than any other war but also introduced powerful, new, nuclear weapons that also contributed to the most deaths. As Hitler rose to power in 1933 the Holocaust began, his quest for the ‘perfect’ race resulted in the use of concentration camps, which would help to create the largest genocide of people in history.
World War 2 was a war that lasted from the 1st of September 1939 to the 2nd of September 1945. That’s 2 years longer than the first war. This war was started by Nazi Germany when they invaded Poland. This was the largest conflict in history that impacted every inch of the earth, including Canada.
Germany, Hitler in specific, was one of the leading reasons as to why the world plunged into World War II. Hitler was allowed to take control over Czechoslovakia by Britain, France, and Italy to keep him
The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, marks the day that WWI descended into armistice. However, the involved countries reached an agreement as to the events following the war on the 28th of June, 1919. The famous Treaty of Versailles was known for its role in ending war. But it was not known for being a double-edged sword, as the ending of war came with the consequence of causing future war. The Treaty consisted of uncontested biases due to Germany's unconditional surrender. The Allies held a gun to Germany's head, with their trigger finger tense. Each article of the Versailles Treaty only made Germany more restless, until 1933 when Hitler produced his own gun and pointed it at the Allies. The Treaty had a series of unproportional effects upon Germany and its people. It caused a rift between the two sides because of the alliances that it formed, brewing tension. The punishments enforced upon Germany were unrealistically huge and it increased the wish among the Germans for the nullification of the Treaty. Finally, the accumulated hatred amongst the people gave birth to potential for a revolution. The Treaty of Versailles is, therefore, an indirect cause to World War II, because of the alliances it caused, the punishments it enforced, and the hatred it developed.
World War 2 started on September 1st, 1939 when Germany invaded Poland. Then shortly after France and the United Kingdom declared war on Germany. More and more countries joined in and took sides; Axis powers or Allied powers. The Axis powers were made up of Germany, Italy, Japan, Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria. The Allied powers were made up of U.S., Britain, France, USSR, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, Greece, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, South Africa, and Yugoslavia. This was the biggest war in history because of all the countries involved. Throughout the early parts of the war, Germany was very successful. As the Germans took over countries in Europe, through the use of the German Blitzkrieg. Blitzkrieg was a type of war were the attacking side would strike very quick. Then by using blitzkrieg it made the Germans and the Axis powers very powerful. As the Germans became more powerful, it made the Allied countries form together to take down the Germans before Germany had absolute power over Europe. Hitler was the leader of Germany and he had in mind of taking over as many countries as possible to achieve the status of ruler of the...
World War I was a very deadly war with over 100 million human casualties(deaths plus injured). Therefore war is a very transformative event for humanity, because it always affects individuals, societies, and even the world in a pessimistic way.
Hitler's Aims and Actions as the Cause of World War II When considering the reasons for the outbreak of war in 1939 it is easy to place the entire blame on Hitler’s aggressive foreign policy in the late 1930s. One British historian, writing a few years after the end of the war, claimed that ‘the Second World War was Hitler’s personal war, in that he intended it, he prepared for it, he chose the moment for launching it.’ In this assignment it is my intention to show that Hitler’s foreign policy was a major factor in causing the conflict but that other reasons, both long term and short term, need to be recognised as well. Probably the first factor that need considering is the Treaty of Versailles, of 1919.
World War II was the largest and most violent armed conflict in the history of mankind.
World War Two was the most devastating conflict in the history of humanity. It crippled many nations and caused millions of people to die. One of the major causes of this disastrous war was the Treaty of Versailles which ended the First World War. This treaty was destructive towards the Germans. Germany had to pay large amounts of reparations to the Allied nations at the end of World War One resulting in a Great Depression in Germany. Additionally, the Treaty of Versailles’ war guilt clause forced Germans to admit full responsibility for starting the war. Furthermore, to gain the support of the German populace, Adolf Hitler adopted an effective propaganda campaign. Adolf Hitler employed a successful propaganda campaign to gain the support of the German people combined with the Treaty of Versailles harsh economic and political sanctions ignited World War Two.
middle of paper ... ... The Treaty of Versailles, initially created to keep peace in Europe and ensure that another war like World War I wouldn’t happen again, had in fact, backfired and spiraled the world down into a deeper, bloodier battle. The treaty discriminated strongly against Germany, with the loss of territories, military restrictions, economic reparations, and the War Guilt Clause. It caused humiliation and anger within Germany, and led to Hitler and the Nazi Party coming to power.
The six year war, World War II was started by Adolf Hitler and his invasion of Poland in 1939.(History) In 1945, the catastrophic World War II was defeated and the end of Nazi Germany. World War II is the most globally known and deadliest wars in history. Having 30 plus countries involved and an estimated 85 million deaths between military and civilians life’s according to History.com. Since, World War II was a battle against the races there was a lot of discrimination, prejudice, and preconceptions on race. Corresponding to Adolf Hitler and his Nazis killing millions of Jews, because he felt like Jews made impact on Germany going into bankruptcy after World War I, America and Japan were fighting because the surprise
World War 2 was the war fought between the Axis and Allied powers from 1939 to 1945. The Axis Powers involving Germany, Italy, and Japan, and the top Allies being the USA, Britain, France, and the USSR. The war was caused by a combination of short term causes -the Great Depression, German Expansion, and Appeasement- and long term causes - the Treaty of Versailles and Fascism-. Technology had a great impact on the outcome of World War 2. The development and use of technology extended the war time, amount of soldier casualties, and the overall victors of the war.
World War 1 was called “The Great War”, “The war to end all wars”, and “The first modern war”. It had many causes and a few repercussions and I will describe them in detail.
In this essay, I will be explaining the four main causes of the war, before analysing them and identifying their order of importance to answer these intriguing questions. One factor which contributed to the outbreak of war in 1939 was the Treaty of Versailles. It stated that Germany had to give up large areas of land such as ‘Alsace-Lorraine’ to surrounding countries and pay huge sums of money to the allies (mainly France) as reparations for WWI. It also made sure that they took full responsibility for starting the First World War, and placed restraints on their maximum army size and possible military actions - which was meant to abolish any chance of a ‘weakened’ Germany rising to power again to spark another war. As great as the attempt was, it failed drastically, bringing another war upon the then, very unstable continent.
The Treaty of Versailles stopped World War I between Germany and the Allied Powers. Because Germany had been conquered, the treaty was very severe for Germany. Germany was forced to "accept the responsibility" of the war amends suffered by the Allies. The treaty forced Germany to pay a large sum of money called reparations. The issue with the treaty is that it left the German economy in ruins. People were starving and the government was in chaos.
