The movie Office Space is a comedy satire about the nature of work, mostly in corporate office occupations. It is set against the backdrop of Initech Corporation, a software company, and follows the day-to-day life of Peter Gibbons, who hates his job. Peter goes to work every day in frustrating traffic and stares at a computer screen without doing very much actual work. He feels belittled by multiple bosses, especially Bill Lumberg, for making seemingly innocent mistakes, and he expresses a desire to quit working and do nothing at all. He commiserates with his coworkers and friends Samir and Michael, who are also frustrated with their jobs and their other coworkers. When Peter is hypnotized by his therapist, he stops caring about work, despite the fact that his office has just hired two consultants, presumably to facilitate company lay-offs. Samir, Michael, and Peter’s other coworkers are full of anxiety and cautious in their evaluations with the consultants, but Peter shows up late and is brutally honest about his lack of work ethic and motivation, as well as his opinions on upper management. Surprisingly, Peter is promoted and told about the impending lay-offs of his hardworking friends Samir and Michael, which leads them to plant a computer virus which will steal fractions of a cent from the company’s accounts every day and deposit them into another bank account owned by the three men. When a miscalculation in the virus causes them to steal hundreds of thousands of dollars instead of fractions of pennies, Peter, Michael, and Samir worry about the consequences, and Peter ends up writing a letter to take the blame for the theft. It is likely that most people will have had a boss that is irritating and micromanages them, like Bill Lumberg, and relate to Peter neglecting to show up to work on Saturday and coming to work in flip flops to play tetris. It is probable that most people have experienced workplace stress in one form or another, whether related to autonomy or threat of layoffs, lack of control or interpersonal conflict. It is also likely that people will understand, and even empathize with Peter’s CWBs, because stress is unfortunately something that everyone has to deal with, and sometimes people who are stressed want to complain, tear up the office, and go fishing instead of work. I think overall, people will get a few laughs and maybe some moments of internal reflection out of watching Office Space, so I definitely would recommend it to friends and coworkers.

“Office Space” is a comedy movie of a man who desperately hates his job and his boss. The movie begins with Peter Gibbon’s daily life story at Initech. At work, Peter has to deal with his indifferent boss, Bill Lumbergh, who doesn’t want to listen to his employee’s feedbacks. Lumbergh seems to be an ignorant and arrogant man who dictates his employee and doesn’t want to be blamed at all. Moreover, Lumbergh asks his employee to come to work on weekend. The atmosphere in the office is getting more intense after Lumbergh announced that Initech is bringing in consultants to increase the efficiency of the company. Peter was very frustrated with everything in the office and he felt that his life even more miserable with each passing day at work. The following day, he decided to come to see a hypnotherapist in order to help him to have more positive outlook on life. Before the hypnotherapist finishes his hypnotic therapy on Peter, he has a heart attack unexpectedly and then dies. However, Peter was still under the influence of hypnosis and fails to come back to his normal state. The next day, Peter sleeps all day long – he actually supposed to come to work – and ignores all calls from his boss. On Monday, Peter comes to the office to have an interview with the consultants. Here, still under the influence of hypnosis, Peter blatantly tells everything he felt about the company. He even tells the interviewers that he only stare at his desk – looks like he is working – for hours to spend his time at work. In the end of the interview, Peter says that actually he is not lazy, but he has a problem with motivation. Peter has eight different bosses who will come by if Peter makes mistakes, so the only motivation that Peter has is not to be hassle...
His bank account was wiped out by the IRS for unpaid taxes and he had less than thirty dollars in it. Furthermore, he and his son would spend some nights at a restroom in the subway station as Chris could not make rent. Chris struggles throughout the whole movie as he attempts to manage his work in the office and the long lines outside the church where the homeless could spend the night. Despite all the difficulty he goes through, he never shows a sign of weakness. His motivation and consistency are inspiring and uplifting for the viewer. The work ethic reminds viewers of the hard working blue collar class, because Chris is willing to work and sacrifice to overcome any hardship and preserve in order to provide the best for his son. While finishing his internship, he gets called down to the boss’ office once again where he is offered a permanent job at the company. This moment of realization causes an overwhelming rush of emotions for Chris and for the viewer as final captions on the screen describe how he later becomes a successful multi-millionaire and proceeds to open his own brokerage

The men, women and children that worked in factories during the 18th and 19th centuries were brutally mistreated causing poverty, injuries and pallid body types (Thompson). At the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, working was incredibly unsafe because there were absolutely no labor or safety laws. Working conditions back then were extremely different from those that are in place today. The unbearable working conditions caused a vast amount of labor laws and rights.
“Stick Together” was a bulletin board based program. At any given time, dozens of post-it notes with kind sayings were stuck to the bulletin board directly outside the elevators which lead to the 8th Floor, so everyone could access them. Above the notes, there were only two instructions: “Take a Post-It Note” and “GIVE it to someone else or KEEP it for yourself!”
Margin Call depicts a realistic take on what happens inside a Wall Street firm. It is about a company that is downsizing their workers because of a firm’s crisis. One of the victims, Eric Dale, was working on a major analysis when he was laid off. He hands his coworker Peter Sullivan his USB, which contains the major analysis. Peter stays late and cracks the issues and calls his coworkers and bosses in about the financial disaster he had discovered. He had discovered that the company is about the crash. He tries to get ahold of Eric, no luck. He then calls his coworkers Seth Bregman and Will Emerson, who are at a bar and tells them that they need to come back to the office for an emergency situation. After showing the situation to Will, John Tuld, the Chief Executive Officer, quickly hears about it. They all have a conference meeting and decide that the company will sell all of the mortgages, which have little to no value. Once the sale is completed, the company tries to save their reputation by saying that this issue was nonpreventable.
There are various influences on everyone’s lives while growing up. I believe the greatest of these influences is the neighborhood you grew up in. I grew up in a quite large, welcoming neighborhood. While living in this neighborhood, I was outgoing and remarkably talkative. Making friends became second nature to me. Playing outdoors from sunrise to sundown playing sports or exploring the outdoors with my friends became a daily routine for me. I was outgoing, talkative, and active. I believe this is the result of the neighborhood I grew up in.

My job is being an architect I feel like being an architect is a job I would like to pursue. It takes a lot of commitment and desire to become an architect. I like this job because you can be your own boss, people respect you, you can make a positive impact in people’s life, and you can have a lot of free time. Architects are also ethical and responsible. I am also very creative, being creative allows you to make structures that have not been made before. You could also win commission contests for major projects you have made. You also have to be responsible and kind to people.
Interior design is a complicated profession. It is sometimes referred to as interior architecture and often confused with interior decorating. It involves the design, organization and planning of an interior structure rather than just refinishing and furnishing existing interior spaces. It involves managing a business, hopefully meeting the desires of the client and delivering to them an interior environment that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
