HALA FOOD

The food-mapping project that our group members Aziz and Tony worked on was about halal foods. During my researches about our topic I went through information that I knew about it in the past as we as things that I did not know about it at all. It was interesting information. I understood from the sources that I used and read in general that the primary goal of Islam is to build a proper and healthy human being, also to provide a proper health care and the right guidance for the human.so my observations encountered my expectations and one of the learning outcome I gained is that Health is the science that deals with human beings in terms of physical, psychological and mental, because of these things make the human being living in the real safety.
From the findings which our group read about is that Islam’s guidelines about halal food cares about the public health and individuals to ensure the construction of the human is properly built, as well as health at community level to ensure the provision of a healthy atmosphere to work and participate in the community. Therefore, any researcher in the Islamic field will clearly notes the importance of the personal hygiene and cleanliness of the environment around, while eating, drinking and nutrition in general. While we were collecting information for our topic we’ve known that Muslim consumer market is very important to the Australian meat industry. Australia has an Australian Government Authorized Halal Program (AGAHP) which ensures high-quality product that is strictly Halal.

In my search I have added to my knowledge that Halal food is now a multi-billion dollar business worldwide. The demand for Halal food is on the increase and is now widely accepted. Halal certified food has met an international standard for food safety. It is important that potential halal food manufacturer understand the actual requirement for Halal certification in order to capture the growing market. In lecture one there were some examples of dishes contains forbidden ingredients such as the Blood Sausage which is Polish preparation, as well as the Morcillas (Puerto Rican dish).
