“Did you notice that the boys game is played differently than the girls, I mean my children don’t complain about the rule difference but I wonder what is up with that.” Most likely this is what is going through parents minds while their kids are playing a game and then there are other teams that are a different gender playing the game differently. In youth sports, the rules are different for the different genders playing the game which makes it a really judged game based off of athletes different genders.
The first reason that sports rules should be the same for boys and girls is because it is sexist. It is sexist because the rules basically are saying that boys are more violent players than girls more in other sports than others. This is not always true which makes it really sexist.

This most likely will affect the younger of the sports players. This also could be a problem because kids could complain to the coaches or something and then maybe if they don’t like the difference and they could quit the team or something. This is a problem because if the kids quit the team, there won’t be any substitutes if the playing kids get tired and need a break.
This quote comes from a news article called, “Sports and Gender: Seperate and Unequal” This quote is given from Heidi Hartmann: “Across fifteen years of the study, the average prime age working woman earned only $273, 592 while the average working man earned $722,623 (in 1999 dollars)” This actually true and is so weird because women do the same amount of work and maybe even more and they get payed less.
