By treating everybody as equal and work to support the service users’ needs. Having a positive attitude towards all vulnerable people and clients in your care By not letting your personal feelings get in the way of doing the required job correctly Respecting the rights of each of the service user Not allowing prejudice in the work setting and thus, give everybody the same opportunities, regardless of your opinions Outcome 2 Be able to reflect on own work activities 2.1 Reflecting on practice is vital because it allows you to assess what you are doing well, as such helps identify areas where one might like or maybe need more training or guidance so as to ensure you are performing to the best you can, and are meeting all standards and expectations within the care and support work settings.
Thus, this gives confidence to continue working well and to aim to try other new things or new skills or knowledge gained in the practices. During the activity you improve your learning by asking your supervisor all questions or things you don't understand in your task and thus learn from others people's strategies and ideas (Marked by Teachers, …show more content…
2015). 2.2 To assess how own knowledge, skills and understanding meet the standards, my assessor will probably set an assignment to do, and then do an observation of my work practice. But it would also be best to write a personal statement detailing: • Experience in the care sector. • Training received (provide copies of your certificates for your assessor). • Tasks perform within the role. • The way in which duties are performed (professional, respect, choice, diversity, equality, confidentiality etc.) (QCF, 2011). Outcome 3 Be able to agree a personal development plan 3.1 Sources of support for own learning and development can be identified below (QCF, 2011); Through team meetings and discussions. Accessing internal and external training. Spending time working alongside colleagues and other professional’s. Asking colleagues and other professional’s questions. 3.2 Personal development planning involves reflection such as knowing the skills I have, the knowledge I have and what areas I need to improve on as well as what my strengths are and what I do well, then plan with my manager how I want to progress in my job, what areas I want training on, want to learn more about, need to develop and improve on.
We discuss and agree this together so that I can learn, review and plan for my own development. Hence, the people that need to be involves includes my manager, team leader, service users other colleagues and others I work with can be involved for example my health and social care assessor who assesses my learning and development needs and supports me in showing them, my team leader meets with me in regular supervisions, colleagues give me feedback on what I have done well and what I need to improve on (OCR

D1: I have decided to look at a 6 year old going through bereavement. Bereavement means to lose an individual very close to you. When children go through bereavement they are most likely to feel sad and upset about the person’s death. Children at a young age may not understand when a family member dies. Children may not understand bereavement. For example a 6 year old’s father been in a car crash and has died from that incident. Death is unpredictable and children can’t be prepared for a death of a family member as no one knows when someone is going to die or not. Unfortunately every child can experience bereavement even when a pet dies. It is important that we are aware that effects on the child so we can support them in the aftermath.
My duties and responsibilities include of doing tasks that have been agreed by the service user and the homecare manager after assessing the service user’s needs. I assist in meeting the care support and daily living needs of the service user and also provide care and any additional support that is needed. Some of my duties consist of assisting in getting up in the morning including washing/bathing, dressing, maintaining personal appearance , assisting with undressing and getting to bed in the evening, assisting with the preparation of meals, drinks and snacks when necessary, providing assistance with toileting and changing clothes and/or bedding where necessary, maintaining commodes and washing clothes and bed linen when necessary, providing
When it comes to service, facilities need to go above and beyond the ordinary to add value. For example, the facility needs to provide meals. Having various options and settings adds value.
The job duties also vary from home healthcare situation to the next. Each patient receiving home healthcare differs in level of independence and cares required. Thus their job duties vary. Personally, the lady I take care of in a home healthcare situation requires many cares. She brushes her own teeth and stands on her own. However, she needs help with her daily cares and transferring. I cook, clean, and do her laundry. This is the typical situation of many home healthcare jobs. Some home healthcare aides transport the individual as well, in addition to doing their shopping.

Individuality. It implies in regarding them as individual, concentrating on their needs, capacities and accomplishments. It implies esteeming who they are, what they are occupied with and what they can in any case do, not on the way that they have dementia hence needn't bother to have the same attention as normal individual. It is also treating them with respect and dignity.
Overseeing the maintenance of non-computing office equipment to ensure it is in good working order (for example, copiers/printers/collators/laminators).
The theory used for this case study was effective, because it was able to get P to recognise that change need to occur so the support that she received would be effective. Reflecting on action the outcome of the assessment and intervention that was applied to P’s case I used supervision and to discuss concerns I had regarding this family with my PS. Supervision helped me establish my concerns and areas I required further support in application to theory in evidence based practice ‘blind self’.
Emotional intelligence and reflective practice are integral components of building a therapeutic relationship in nursing
Self awareness in nursing refers to how glowing nurses comprehend themselves, their strengths, weaknesses, attitude and ethics in order to better transact with their patients. Self- awareness includes review of self, together with self confidence. Self -regulation express beyond one`s emotion and being trustworthy. For nurses to be able to empathize with their patients and treat them with compassion, they have to be self aware. When nurses are self aware, they are capable to adapt to, or certainly change their attitudes and deed in order to understand how unusual people take care of them hence improving the nurse- patient relationship. Nurses must reflect carefully on whether they can sustain in dependence in caring for a client and whether the relationship interferes with gathering the client’s needs. It is also essential to be sure that providing care to family and friends does not interfere with the care of other clients or with the dynamics of the health care group. Before making the conclusion, the nurse may possibly wish to discuss the situation with colleagues and the employer.
