The world is changing rather fast and the communicator has to keep pace with the change. However, there are certain elements in all effective communication and to communicate effectively these attributes are to be taken care of. The elements of effective communication can be discussed under several headings:
Clarity of Thought and Expression: The communicator must first know what he/she wants to convey and why. It is very much essential that he/she understands the purpose of his message. Communication without a clear objective amounts to groping in darkness like the seven blind men arguing the size of the elephant. The message should be clear in order to solicit effective feedback. Effective communication begins when someone thinks clearly. You should know what you want to communicate. And the better you know it, the more clearly you can communicate it. Clarity of thought and expression is central to effective communication. If you cannot think clearly; you cannot express yourself clearly. Never think communication is spontaneous; you have to make it happen. The major mistake in communication is to believe that is
Hybels, Saundra, and Richard L. Weaver. Communicating effectively. 4. ed. New York [u.a.: McGraw-Hill, 1995. Print.
Communication is something we all humans use. Communication “is the sharing of information between individuals by using speech”. People have ways of communicating some have their weaknesses in conversations and others have their strengths. When I communicate with others I feel that some things I say I do not verbalize right. I have two strengths and three weaknesses in my communicating. My three weakens in my communication are, check nonverbal feedback, to make people wrong and recognize that people understand information in different ways and my two strengths in my communication are being flexible, and take responsibility for the communication.
There are many reasons and justifications for effective communication, but these can best be described by singling out a few common points that will enlighten us to the need for this higher communicative education. According to Office Team 2000, a leading staffing service, while intellectual challenges and opportunities will motivate workers, such skills as writing and speaking well, the display of proper etiquette, and listening attentively will probably determine their career success. HR Focus Magazine (1999) performed a survey which revealed that workers will have to learn to communicate more effectively and articulately. Through technological advancements, their people skills will be showcased and tested, and those workers lacking in these areas will have their shortcomings exposed. Likewise, it is mentioned that pervasiveness of both audio and video teleconferencing will also reveal the caliber of one’s verbal strengths.
On a daily basis, we come in contact with individuals that we have to communicate with, wither it be for work purposes, educational purposes, or social practices. As active humans we cannot escape the idea of socializing or communication, therefor; we make it a daily routine who we communicate with, how we communicate with them, what we listen to and how we listen it. With this routine habits are formed, some are strengths but others are weaknesses that diminish the communication quality. It is extremely important for individuals to recognize these strengths and weakness within their communication routine. By recognizing their strengths, they are able to improve even further and use their ability to get them closer to goals they may have set for themselves. Recognizing their weaknesses is just as important if not more important.
Communication means passing information from one person to another. Effective communication is when communication is clear, precise and easily understood. Effective communication builds trust between individuals. When communication is clear, individuals understand exactly what is expected of them. Communication is knowledge sharing, so whoever you are communicating with can learn from you and you from them.
The first idea, I believe that the effective communication is not only conveying a message, but also allowing the other person understands your clear ideas
The problems in communication are the main barrier towards understanding between the two parties. People are too concerned about themselves and tend to talk about themselves only, without being interested in the problems and lives of the people close to them. Taking into consideration the relationship analysis I have made in the previous paper, where I have identified the strengths and weaknesses of mine, it is now time to consider what should be done in order to improve my weaknesses and fill the gap in the communication with my brother, Calis as well as people around me. For that, I have developed a detailed improvement plan, with the steps to be followed to make me a better interlocutor.

In today’s competitive and globalized world, communication has become an essential tool for everyone-be they students, academics or professionals. For technocrats and professionals, it becomes all the more necessary to acquire good communication skills as they have to communicate effectively with all their business and professional colleagues. They need
Experts have claimed that communication has diminished over the 21st century, while others claim it has flourished with the introduction of new communication methods. This essay will argue with the latter that we as a collective of people have better means of communication than back in the 20th century and that it hasn’t diminished but more so flourished.
Now the communication class is almost over I have realize how important is to have good communication skills, and how it is key to life. I have learned many things in this class for example ways to approach strangers. Another thing that I have learned how to handle conflict and how sometimes it could be good it not always bad and many others. The way I look things have change to have reach my goals. This class was has also taught me how to look in the “other” perceptive, and not being selfish by just seeing one side. All that I have learn will help me and other around me to be able to communicate better.
As in all aspects of personal and professional life, having effective communication is a key element of success. Effective communication can benefit your relationships with people. By conveying your message and integrating them as a member of the team and not just a subordinate leads to better production. By effectively communicating you can clearly define job responsibilities and expectations. The better you are able to communicate the less likely organizational turnover of personnel will occur. Supervisors and leaders in the professional workplace find that the most important factor in advancement and retain ability is effective communication. Senior level executives and human resources managers are stressing the importance of communication and providing more training for mid-level management. Emphasis is placed on communication being clear by being transmitted strongly.
The best thing to hold onto in life is each other but can you imagine how we will be able to initiate that without communication? Language is very important to human society because it is the heart of our world, more so that it helps us to survive. My assumption is that our ancestors’ from the past created such tool to help us succeed in life and aid one another, so that way nobody is left behind. I can not truthfully imagine what the world would be like without communication. Moreover, things go dysfunctional when there’s miscommunication between people, such as war, envy, and hatred. In addition, miscommunication creates a society where nobody is valuable to each other. now, imagine if this was our way of living.
One of the main aspects in communicating is listening. An effective listener is one who, not only comprehends how the speaker feels but, also understands what they are stating. Building a strong connection between the speaker and the listener is one of the first steps to become a good listener. By building this connection speakers should first be in an environment with open minded listeners, it makes them feel more comfortable to state their opinions, feelings and ideas. Listeners should avoid being judgmental. The individual does not have to agree with the ideas, values or opinions of the speaker; however, to fully understand them, one must put aside their criticism. Speakers will believe that they can trust the listeners with their information when they know that they will not be judged. Miscommunication happens frequently, listene...
