My observations that I did was at a park near my grandma’s old house. It was a cloudy, rainy day but it rained after I left the park. I observed that there were many people eating food at the park. As we were at the the park I saw people walking around the soccer field at the park. Also I saw many kids chasing each other around the park. Many people were eating food at the park such as chips, hot dogs, hamburgers and they were drinking soda like big red, dr.pepper and others. Some people were doing cookouts while other families just had a little picnics and family times with food. It seemed as if everybody that was at the park brought food for the entire time they are going to be here at the park. Most families eventually ran out of chips and soda so one family member went to go buy some more. The kinds of chips they had were doritos, sun chips, onion chips and others as well. As we were making food i saw many little kids running around chasing each other around the park while they were screaming and yelling. The yelling and screaming was getting annoying but i had to deal with it so I can finish these observations. At one point one kid fell as he was running, it was pretty funny actually i laughed sorta a bit. I think all the kids were just running around, it was as if none was around their other families. The only time they would go back is if the food was ready or if they were thirsty or tired from all the running around they were doing. It also felt really cold outside too because the rain was approaching and then fall was too so nobody was really cold it just felt chilly actually. The …show more content…
It stood out to me most because that's what the people were mostly doing at the park. The way people ate was weird, some would eat and drink at the sametime, which to me was interesting. Then others would eat first and then drink their drink that they
and exciting. While you walk through the park, you can hear miles and miles of laughter, music, and screams. The intense smell of Chinese food, barbecue, French fries, and funnel cake just makes your hunger crave for it and your mouth water. From my
Kidwatching shows many different things when it comes to collecting data on how a student or student’s learn over a period of time. When doing kidwatching observations, it is important to monitor everything that could have an influence on a student’s performance. Different things such as resources, environments, interactions, etc. are a few things that can affect a student when it comes to learning. Being able to kidwatch at Killian Elementary, I’ve been able to collect a great deal of data when it comes to seeing a student as a scientist. This opportunity has allowed me to look at teaching science many different ways that can show how much students are interested and how much he/she understands.
from the first bar, she quickly swung her feet over to the side for leg support.
The observation took place indoor at my relative 's house. I went to observe the child on Tuesday at 12:00 in the morning. When you first enter the house and walk through the hallway, you will see that the kitchen is on the right side and the dining table on the left. After passing the kitchen and dining table, you will see that the living room connects to the back-yard. The living room 's walls had multiple picture frames and decoration pieces hanging along with a brown color clock. Moreover, the living room had dark green sofa 's, television, a coffee table and variety of toys that include a white writing board, a box of legos, soft toys, barbie dolls, kitchen sets, play house, books, ball, building blocks and a blue color table along with
I wasn’t even outside but I could feel the warm glow the sun was projecting all across the campsite. It seemed as if the first three days were gloomy and dreary, but when the sun on the fourth day arose, it washed away the heartache I had felt. I headed out of the trailer and went straight to the river. I walked to the edge, where my feet barely touched the icy water, and I felt a sense of tranquility emanate from the river. I felt as if the whole place had transformed and was back to being the place I loved the most. That day, when we went out on the boat, I went wakeboarding for the first time without my grandma. While I was up on the board and cutting through the wake of the boat, it didn’t feel like the boat was the one pulling and guiding me, it felt like the river was pushing and leading me. It was always nice to receive the reassurance from my grandma after wakeboarding, but this time I received it from my surroundings. The trees that were already three times the size of me, seemed to stand even taller as I glided past them on the river. The sun encouraged me with its brightness and warmth, and the River revitalized me with its powerful currents. The next three days passed by with ease, I no longer needed to reminisce of what my trips used to be like. Instead, I could be present in the moment, surrounded by the beautiful natural
For the location of my naturalistic observational study I chose a public park with a splash pad which I frequently visit with my daughter. Since this site is quite popular with locals at any given time of the day there are at least over a dozen people present. As the park is designed for the entertainment of children the age group of the people varies. There are young children accompanied by their parents and grandparents as well as teenagers in groups. Therefore the above discussed park proved to be the greatest preference for me to observe the behavior of people in a natural setting.
At our class, our tutor arranged a special activity for us, we experienced the city as a sensory space, not just a visual space. Though this activity, we use our senses to walk into a city or a place we live. We turned to be no aims and walk around in the city, what makes us walk or stay at the place is our feelings and senses. This is a very different experience for me in my daily life in a city. I was aimless in a city space, i follow our feelings and senses, then I started to observed things around us and started to think about everything. My senses and my mind started to be more and more clear. Because it is unlike the normal “me”, this time i was at a city with no aim and the city beco...
Did you know that over Christmas break for Council Bluffs, Iowa they weather colder than Antarctica? It was below zero and in the negative numbers. On a few days it was negative five and negative two. It was very dangerous for people to be outside in the cold. Cars were acting up because of how cold it was and it was dangerous for people to be outside for longer than 30 minutes. My mom’s car always acts up when it’s cold outside her tire pressure drops. My brothers car was outside all night and my mom pulled it in the garage after my dad left and it didn’t want to start or go up the driveway. Walking in and out of places were very cold and it was dangerous for your skin to be showing in those weather conditions. So after me and my mom walked
Child development and growth observation can be quite fascinating considering the uniqueness of each child. As children grow, they normally develop and acquire new skills whether complex or not. The abilities experienced by each child progresses differently that is it depends on the nurturing given by the parent or guardian and on the characteristics that they inherit. Proper development and growth of the child occurs when basic needs are provided by the reliable adult guardians, including such things as love, food, encouragement, shelter and warmth. The essay evaluates child development and growth through observation conducted by myself on my nephew. The essay will include physical development, general health, emotional development,
I did my parent-child observation at a restaurant in Batesville Indiana. I went to a small family owned place called Wagner’s. I did my observation over Thanksgiving break after my family cut our Christmas tree down. This occurred on Saturday November 28th around 6pm. This is a place that I am relatively familiar with. I have been going there with my family every year since I was a young child. It is a pretty small restaurant. While one side has a bar, the other side is more family oriented. It is a child friendly place that has a small area that toddlers and young kids can play. It has coloring books and small toys.
After eating our sack lunches, our group of five decided to enter the park. I can hear the roller coaster tracks and machinery almost sounding like a train, watching the faces of the people. After...
I took a friend with me to experience it as well. When we first arrived around 7 p.m., which the event started at 6p.m. through 10 p.m., there was hardly any parking. We drove through Paseo first, and then parked at the end of the strip at a gas station called Samir’s Beer, Ice, Bread, and Milk. We both got a kick out of the name. When we started walking down the strip we realized how hungry we were. There were plenty of food joints that all smelled, oh so good. One of the food joints had fire pits outside to eat next to. I told myself that I would definitely have to come back and eat out here.
My parents grew up in small town in Mexico. There was a little river that went through part of the town when they were growing up. Every weekend or so they would go out and would go swimming with their families, it almost became a tradition to go swimming there until they noticed that the river 's water level was becoming smaller and smaller. Today there is no river anymore, instead it 's a road that travels through the town. Every time I visit my family in Mexico it would alway be nice and warm up until this year when I went in December. I remember waking up and getting ready to go to my aunt 's house in clothes for warm weather. As I open the door, the cold air punch me and I saw snowflakes falling down. It 's not supposed to snow in that
I touched my head and felt the burn, the perks of having dark hair. Strolling through rich neighborhoods with my cousin near my side, we finally came to an end. We came across an intersection as the last few houses appeared, with the park across the street coming into view. We watched from afar as the children rolled down the bright red slides, making their clothing and hair static, and climbing the steps to escape the dragon and flames that ignited the mulch. The parents were breathless, and chasing after their children, who were ecstatic, while other parents captured these moments on their phones.
