ric was a hardworking man that provided for his family while being able to love what he did. He was a ranch hand at Smith Cattle Co., and was not afraid to get dirty or use some elbow grease to get his job done. He loved taking care of the animals, working on the land, and with his hands. Before working on the ranch, he worked for Holt Helicopters relocating deer to different areas of the property. Eric was a devoted family man. He always loved playing with his kids or horsing around with any and every one. Eric made others smile. He was a big kid at heart, with a kind soul that loved to goof off. He reminded us all not to take everything so seriously and to just have fun. Eric was always the first one to help anyone in need. He had a very active role in the Region 8 Jr. & High School Rodeo Association, and was always helped out, working the rodeos in his spare time. He was well-liked by the students and parents alike. He was also a member of several groups for gun collectors. He was always looking to buy, sell, or make a trade to add to his extensive collection. He was also very big into rodeos himself, which he excelled at. He mostly participated in team roping as the header, but had recently won a buckle for being the heeler in the JK Productions event Roping for the Buckles. Eric was a devout man of faith, and was a member of the Cowboy Fellowship congregation. …show more content…

Many people would shy away and not want to get involved with what Sarah was going through, but Eric was different. Eric listened to Sarah, but he knew what was right. When Eric found out about what Sarah was going through, he got help from the people he trusted, despite the threats and warnings she told him. He knew what was right, and he knew what he had to do. When he told Sarah that he got help, she was not thankful, she was furious. He was not praised or thanked like most people would, but because he was courageous, he did what he felt he needed to do. “I'm responsible for anything I know. I was careful who I told.” (Crutcher pg 198) He stood up and spoke out. It takes great courage for someone to leap into a problem that isn't even necessarily their responsibility. He helped even though he wasn't thanked, and even though he was now involved in a dangerous issue. He even saved Sarah’s life telling Lemry, who is an adult he can
Who influenced the other party more? Chris or the people he met along his journey? Without any money, or material objects Chris was able to leave a lasting impact on the people he met on his journey to Alaska. In Into The Wild by Jon Krakauer, Chris McCandless is able to leave a greater influence on the people he met along his journey to Alaska rather than the impact they made on him.
...e with him. But Husband on June 9th he died of Pneumonia. Emmy and John buried him somewhere near them but to this very day nobody know where that is exactly.
Many people have come and gone through my life. Like a revolving door, but it doesn’t matter how long they stayed in my life. To me, it only matters on how they made an impact on me. I think about Kurt Zuidmulder every day, he was a coach, teacher, and father. He was also a friend to the whole community of Hermantown, MN, and Hibbing, MN. He was the greatest human I have ever met, and I will never forget him. Kurt affected me through his larger than life personality, his incredible sense of humor, and his overall kindness.
The greatest rodeo legend that ever lived. A champion in the arena, a champion in life.
Chris McCandless was still just a young man when he decided to drastically alter his life through the form of a child’s foolishness. However, Chris had not known at the time just how powerful his testimony against his father’s authority, society, or maybe even his own lifestyle was going to be revolutionary throughout not only Alaska, not even the lower 48, but the world. The story of Chris McCandless is a much talked about debate on topics of safety and preparedness in the wild, these things forever associated with the boy who was a little too eager for a death wish. Today, Chris is remember as a fool or a hero. The fool, a boy who allowed himself to be drowned in a fictional world inspired by his readings, dying because he ignored he was just a normal human being or the hero who set out to become something more.

Jim Lewis was born on March 3rd, 1910 in McKinney, Texas. He was the middle child of three, with Jim and Laura Lewis as his parents . He was in the Texas National Guard, before he volunteered to go into World War 2, at the age of 35. He was too old to be drafted, but after Pearl Harbor, he felt the need to serve his country the best he could. Lewis married Catherine Harkey after the war, and had four children. He worked for City Chevrolet for most of his life after the war as a car mechanic and later a security guard. After Catherine died, he was remarried for a few years until he died of testicular cancer, leaving behind all four children, nine grandchildren, and four great grandchildren .
Eric is now in a facility for troubled children. If he were to be returned to the same environment that he was taken from, I feel that he would revert back after a period of time. He is still young and very impressionable. His surrounding is still responsible for much of his behavior. Even if he was much better in the facility, I think he would get back his old habits, and become violent and introverted. I strongly feel that he should not be returned to his home. If he was taken from the facility and put into a good home, I think that he would have a good chance of becoming a more social person and have the possibility of leading a normal, healthy life.
Eric is the epitome of bravery, the very home which it lives. Though cold heartedly evil he displays more bravery than any other character in the book Divergent by Veronica Roth. Eric displays his courage in many different ways. Eric puts his life in danger every day by lying to the faction he leads, communicating with his leader, and through the acts he commits every day. Throughout the book you see Eric’s cunning and bravery displayed over and over again. He talks very tactfully and hides his true intentions well. You can see that Eric is through and through, Erudite. Even though he belongs to a different faction, he is a leader of Dauntless. It can be assumed that Four’s and Eric’s trainers were just as hard as Eric and Four themselves. The trainers must have been clever, clever enough to see that Eric was not what he said he was. Eric was a spy, the first pawn played in Jeanine’s elaborate scheme to take over all five factions. He never faltered once and continued on, knowing that if he was caught, his punishment would be far worse than death. Every day Eric lied to the faces of the Dauntless leaders even though he knew the consequences. He did it to save his true faction, Erudite.
“Fear nothing attack everything, that’s kind of how I did the thing,” said Eric Berry(Kissel). Eric Berry is a 5-time all-pro Safety for the Kansas City Chiefs and many people considered one of the best to ever play. In 2014 Eric Berry was diagnosed with Cancer and had to miss the rest of the 2014 season in hopes that chemo could cure him. In the summer of 2015, only a few weeks away from the regular season he announced his attention to play in 2015. Despite the fact he was strong enough to beat cancer many critics argued that he would never be as good as he was before and may not even be a starter, he quickly shut them up by having one of the best seasons in his career in which he helped his team to the
