I demonstrated my service and leadership experiences by opening the ideas of others, taking action, and being an inspiration. First, I am an open-minded person. I am involved and volunteered many international and cultural events, including the Asian Undergraduate Association social activities and Thai cultural night. In addition, I am appointed to the UPAC and selected to be one of the Liberal Arts Envoys. During the UPAC meeting, I always contribute and debate in an informative and polite way so that the discussion is on the point and comfortable. During the Envoys meeting, I try to bring the problems and recommendations that I talk with my international students to the meeting; for example, the feedbacks about resources and internship opportunities that the College provides for the …show more content…

for both of the Thanksgiving Break Trips, and the Habitat for Humanity in Texas for the Spring Break last year. During the service, I understand and be familiar with the root of the American social issues, specifically, homelessness, food hunger, and developing neighborhoods. I learn to contribute the discussion with the Asian social issues and try to brainstorm the solutions for the problems. More importantly, I always take notes the discussion focusing on the way the U.S. solve the issues and try to bring it back to Thailand after the graduation (government contract). Every time I come back to from those trips, I always share my experiences with my friends and encourage them to get out of the comfort zone by doing services. In term of the on-campus issue, I joined the Open the Box Club, which focuses on sexual harassment issues. Now, we are in the process of the S.E.X. week during this April. We believe in equality and we would like to see our campus change into the positive way. My goal is to see the Penn State communities respect and act appropriately to
