Emerging Adulthood is a period of time in the life that follow the adolescence. There are four phases makeup emerging adulthood which helps students define themselves as are grown up people. During emerging adulthood implies every student experiencing different phases of cognitive development, emotional development, social development and physiology development. When students get older and become more mature, the development of mindset, critical thinking and physiological grow proportional as well. Researchers have found Deep Approaches to Learning( DAL) which aims to focus on gaining knowledge, thinking and how each student uses critical thinking to solve problem in daily life. A paper called “Psychology: Development in a changing society” did a research on college students around 18-25 years old experiencing in the fields of lifespan development. This paper discusses the size and contrast of cognitive development in adults, discovering subjects such as construct validity and theories of personal improvement. Besides, this research is investigating deeper in the improvement of reflective judgment, knowledge, and recognition of students during cognitive development. Cognitive development plays an important role in social interaction aspect with everyone. He believes that culture, belief, traditions will influence a person’s perspective, which is sociocultural theory of cognitive development. Every student should understand that social interaction is very important for cognitive development. Every culture uses schemas to identify the world. The study looks at their ability to obtain new knowledge, beliefs which bases on activities and behavior that comes from the approach. This phase is essential because it expresses feeling such as unconfident, shy, empathy, self-esteem. A paper called “Adolescent Emotional Development and Emergence of Depressive Disorders” analyses depressive disorder issue which focuses on the group late emerging adults. This research shows the developmental progressions happening from adolescence into early adult to understand how depression occurred. This relates to emotion domain and serves on embody the cognitive, interpersonal throughout this life stage. The development of the young mind through adolescence with identified self-esteem, lack of social interaction, depression directly correlated with student’s lack of sleep. Moreover, living in domestic violence family and loneliness also impact negatively to student life. Students will develop a clear set of value and belief through experimentation with various identities, and an examination of their values. Some students are so burdened that they don’t have chances to understand how they developed depression and loneliness or how to get out of abusive families, which lead to greater risk of emotional damage, and unhealthy life.
