In the book Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future, Musk’s personal life and major accomplishments are all very well-detailed in a 359-page package. If any one quality of Musk was picked out by its uniqueness, then it would be his uncanny ability to choose the given option that would ultimately result in the brightest future for humanity. It isn’t difficult for one to perceive after spending some time with him how much his decisions have shaped him and his future. If three of Musk’s decisions were to be picked out to define who he is, then those three decisions would have to be his choice to create a website that would ultimately become PayPal, his determination to shape the automotive business into a more eco-friendly industry, and his legendary resolve to try to land a human being on Mars. Musk’s first big decision came to fruition after he sold his startup company, Zip2, to make way for a website he titled X.com. This website would eventually become PayPal, the dot-com titan that millions of people know and use today. According to the biography Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a FAntastic Future, “the sale of Zip2 had infused Elon Musk with a brand of confidence. Much like the video-game characters he adored, Musk had leveled up. He had solved Silicon Valley and become what everyone

As James Levine is famous for saying, “I was lucky that I met the right mentors and teachers at the right moment.” To me, one of the greatest mentors of innovative scientific history was Nikola Tesla. That being said, if given the opportunity to spend the next year of my life in a different time period I would like to live during the year 1942 so I could work beside Tesla. This was the year before Tesla died, a time when he had experienced the full scope of his expertise and could impart that wisdom to me. My questions about his popularity would be answered in full. Questions about Tesla’s integrity could lead to the answer to the legendary disputes about what was rightfully his. Legends about genius inventions that could only be imagined
All my money has been invested into experiments with which I have made new discoveries enabling mankind to have a little easier life,” Tesla (1927). This philosophy of Tesla hold true on both accounts, Tesla did make life easier for mankind and he did invest all his money attempting to accomplish that task. “Despite his accomplishments, however, Tesla died penniless and without the accolades that would he would ultimately earn over a century later,” according to Whipps (2014). Aside from the above quote which reminds us of how determined Tesla was, we have various technologies that current culture utilizes on an everyday basis which solidifies his importance on society. For example, Tesla is responsible solely for or developing the technology or methods which enable, alternating current, light, x-rays, radios, remote controls, electric motors, robotics, lasers, wireless communications and potential limitless free energy. An argument could be made that Tesla has had such a profound influence on our society that the inevitable switch to battery operated, fully automatized motor vehicles is led by a company which utilizes the brand name of

I consider Steve Jobs’ commencement speech at Stanford University in 2005 to be one of the most effective speeches. He uses mechanics of speech to craft a well-rounded speech that is crowned by his use of rhetorical devices. Jobs gives relevant and fundamental knowledge of his life and experiences with his rhetorical approach. In his speech to the Stanford’s graduation class, he tells different stories of love, loss, discovery and difficulty he faced in his life to encourage new graduates as they continue to mature in life. He encourages students to pursue their dreams and not be discouraged by failures they might experience in life.
He possessed a perfectly groomed moustache and mingled with high society in the fashion of the day. He kept friendships with society’s elite, Mark Twain was among those that Tesla kept company (Ghose, Nikola Tesla vs Thomas Edison: Who was the better inventor?, livescience.com). Today in a Serbian museum Tesla’s Top Hat and Tails are displayed; an image of the style the Serbian immigrant kept. Tesla is believed to have had obsessive compulsive disorder and lived as a bachelor throughout his life. After moving to New York city; he began work at Edison Electric under the direction of Thomas Edison. It was here that he first presented his revolutionary ideas regarded alternating current. After his concepts and designs were rejected by Edison, he left Edison Electric and found work digging trenches; ironically for the power lines for Edison’s power plants. He secured some investors after a well thought out presentation in which he made a metal egg spin on its long axis, as if magically being held there by an invisible hand (“Edison vs. Tesla” Genius, Season 1, episode 7, National Geographic, 2015, Netflix.com) He possessed a talent for vivid demonstrations that fed the imagination of those who witnessed. With the help of Westinghouse Electric, Tesla perfected his designed with only a few basic diagrams. He was able to recall precise mechanisms from memory and could visualize his inventions from conception to fruition. He was a true
An entrepreneur is someone that starts up their own business. Mark Zuckerburg became an entrepeneur because of his social networking site called Fackbook. It all started in his college dorm in 2004 at Harvard University. He made a website called Facesmash for Harvard students only. This site let you vote on which two students from Harvard were “Hot or Not”. Then he started making “TheFacebook”, which was the name of facebook when it started.Soon he soon changed it to just “Facebook”. A man named Peter Theil was the first to invest in the company for 10.2% of the company. Zuckerburg branched out to more private schools, then next thing you know the site was all over the U.S. They made their money by letting ads be on the site. The companies pay facebook to put ads on the site, then Facebook makes money. The company went public in 2012 to the stocks. This was big. They would make even more money. It was risky, but Zuckerburg did it.
The intention for launching the company was Musk’s lifelong passion, reaching space. After unsuccessfully trying to buy a rocket in Russia, he decided to establish his own company: SpaceX. He put 100 million dollars of his fortune to start the company. One of the key elements of success for SpaceX is their centralized engineering. All parts of the rockets are built in the company´s headquarters, instead of producing parts in different locations.

He did not give up. Not only he did not give up but he remained himself. He truly believed that his decision and passion is not wrong. Even the death was not enough to stop Steve Jobs passion.
