“I used to work at a school as a teachers assistant, and my mom is a principal at an elementary school. I don’t know, I think that’s a pretty good life, teaching kids.” - Conor Oberst. Spending seven hours a day with young children of the world and helping them grow and learn is what elementary education is all about. Pursuing a career as a elementary school teacher is an ideal job for a person who wants to work with kids and help them grow and develop, wants to teach the basic subjects to learning students, and who wants to spend summers and holidays with their family. A perk to being an elementary school teacher is getting to help kids grow and develop. One step to helping kids grow is inspiring them to do good in school so they can live a happy life. Elementary education is the base system of learning for students, setting them up for success is one way they can reach their goals. Other than sticking to one subject, you get to teach kids multiple subjects. Not only would it get boring for the students to only learn one subject, but it would get boring for the teachers to only teach one subject. Being an elementary school educator gives you the diversity of teaching multiple things. Also, teachers get to share the love of the subjects with a student. As a teacher, if they love what they are teaching to students it makes it more fun for both the student and teacher. Lastly, you get to share the knowledge and attention with students. All throughout someones life they are constantly learning. As a teacher, it gives you that opportunity to share everything you know with children. Being able to teach throughout their lives is a great pro to being an elementary
