The goal for my educational career is to earn a degree in Systems Engineering from the Ohio State University. I have chosen this major because it combines two of my lifelong passions: science and problem solving. Systems Engineering is all about the design and management of complex systems. As well as helping to make existing systems run more efficiently. This major will open up opportunities in a multitude of different fields because complex systems are an integral part of society and can be found in almost any industry. It is important to recognize positive aspects in oneself in order to move in the right direction. As a high school learning disabilities educator I am able to present information in a way where students can understand it by presenting real life examples they can relate to. I am a proactive educator with the desire and capability to assist my students and school in achieving success. I am very technology savvy and believe that it is a pertinent strength that is needed in order to be an effective educator and administrator.
Why is education such an essential part of our culture? We, as a society, are extremely materialistic and view education as a ladder to a higher socio-economic plateau, which consists of better job opportunities and a better lifestyle. Education is at the core every career imaginable and, regardless of technological advances, there will always be a need for teachers. Teachers touch lives every day. I am becoming an educator because I feel that I can positively influence the lives of others. My educational goals are to graduate from the University of Florida with honors with a degree in neuroscience and a minor in business administration. I want to graduate from college because I know that knowledge is the key to success. There are endless possibilities and no limitations when one is knowledgeable about the world around him or her. I am choosing to study the Career Field of Elementary education. (Teaching) I have been interested in teaching for a long time because I have always been around teachers and they talk about the joy of helping children learn and grow in their education. This particular career field interest me because of how I love to learn new things. I believe that everybody needs a good education to be successful, and I would love to help children achieve that education they need. Most importantly I want to find new and creative ways of making learning fun.

Employers are becoming more selective when it comes to choosing employees. There are diminishing job opportunities that comes from outsourcing because of cheap labor and infrastructure. All of these factors make the prospect of finding a future job more difficult. In order to improve my chances of finding a successful job, I am directing all of my efforts to my current high school classes and extra circular activities to enhance my capabilities in the field of engineering. When I was younger, I remember my teacher asking me what I wanted to be when I grew up. At a young age I knew I wanted to be a doctor. It is what every kid says when they are little, right? When an adult asks a child what they would like to be, they would give them one of the simplest answers: a doctor, a cop, or a teacher. As I got older, I still wanted to follow my dream. Educational Goals: Education is extremely important part of my past, present, and future goals. I currently hold an Associate of Applied Science in Graphic Design Media. I have found that an A.A.S Degree does not go as far al I originally intended in the Rochester, MN area and furthering my education will be a necessity for my future career goals. Over the past 2 years I have been working on my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the Minnesota School of Business Rochester campus. I am currently a senior with 3 quarters left before a spring graduation. After a June graduation, I plan on taking a summer quarter break. After summer break I will either continue on at MSB for my Masters in Business Administration with a Minor in Marketing or transferring the University of Minnesota for my Masters in Adult Education. After my Masters Degree is complete I will decide at that time if I wish to continue on and achieve my Ph.D.
Elementary Education - The Career Choice for Me The obstacle to finding a career is something we are all faced with at one time or another. Fortunately for myself, I found this decision to be a very easy one. I come from a family of teachers. Therefore, it did not take long to decide that teaching was the career choice for me.
Education, which refers to the transfer of indispensable skills and knowledge, is a vital aspect of the social-economic planning of a country as it generates a competitive workforce which contributes significantly to economic growth. Nevertheless, the jury is still out on whether the chief goal of education is to provide a ticket to a better life, hence improving the living standards of individuals. At first glance, it is tempting to buy into the claim that the ultimate purpose of education is to guarantee a high living standard as good academic qualification enables us to become high income earners. However, upon further dissection of the intricacy of the issue, we should look past the superficial value of such a claim and accept that essentially, education has other crucial functions in our society.
