Educational Autobiography Statement I think that I have always wanted to be a teacher. Being the eldest of four children, I have always enjoyed being that helping hand and using my talents and abilities to help others. In the remainder of this essay, I will explore how my personal background, development as an individual over time, and how experiences as a student have influenced my attitude towards education and prompted me to choose teaching as a profession. My full name is Kylie Jo Jahn, born on January 10, 1997. I have brown hair, brown eyes and am short for being at the age of 18.   I was born in the town of Dawson, MN, where I spent the first two years of my life.  My parents and I then moved to Madison, MN where I have lived since.   I have two sisters and one brother, all three are younger than me.  Karissa, my sister, is 16 and my best friend.  Kayla, my other sister, is 8 and has the biggest heart.  My brother, Jordan, is 12 and looks out for me as if he were my older brother. Being the oldest of four children, I grew up helping my parents out with my younger siblings. My parents have instilled in me the importance of showing respect for authority figures, of listening, having responsibilities and time management, to name a few of the things that have helped shape me into the person that I am today. I have participated in many sports throughout the years including tennis, basketball, dance and track.  I have a love for photography and really anything crafty.  Anything outdoors is calling my name, especially when the autumn season comes around.  To keep me busy in the summers I have obtained countless babysitting jobs and have also had the opportunity to work with a local daycare back in my hometown where we would take trips to the park and pool, have lemonade stands, and play with finger-paints to name some of the many things we did to keep
