As I drive to Edgewood the first thing that catches my eye is how the fields are just filled with corn and that's all you see for miles. The drive their helps you just clear your head and the country music is playing and you just look around and see how peaceful it is. When you get to the town it's very small a population of about 800. Not many people live there compared to Dubuque. It is the type of place where everyone knows everyone. When you first pull in to Edgewood you notice how old and antique everything looks and the if you have never been there before you will notice how the town just smells like farm. It's painted an old creamy white and the porch has tons of decorations on it anything from old chairs to old pictures. When you go inside the house all there is to smell is gingersnaps and Christmas. The walls have that old ugly flower wallpaper all over in the hallways and then in each of the rooms the shades of pink vary from light to dark depending on what decorations are in the rooms. As you move through the farm the smell of gingersnaps changes to this gross, disgusting smell of cows, but when you look around and see what your surrounded by it just eliminates the way it smells. Looking around you see this fascinating pond that has a paddle boat, and a big dock to sit on and you just relax and just let all your thoughts go. To keep exploring the farm I go and find the yellow side by side to ride on the acres of land. The only thing that is around is the woods and animals. You will occasionally hear an animal run or you might even can't it by the glimpse of your eye. I keep riding through this land and get on this dirt trail that leads me to this camping area, but only for one camper. It was quite odd to see at first but then it made sense. Then I heard a whistle which meant I needed to go to the deer shed and eat
