It 's sleek and compact design, married with 2 jazzy scatterer cushions inject vibrant bursts of colour into this trendy living room. A variety of high impact tones are featured on a smaller scale on each cushion and humble accessories help to balance these colours throughout the space. An exciting zest of yellow on a geometric cushion reflects on a two tone vase whilst a single pink flower is the flower of choice relating to the largest piece of furniture in the room. A small fleck of blue near the corner of the rug matches the colour scheme used on the curtains, however this design feels a little unfinished leaving me unsure of its pattern and purpose of the rug in this room. The glass TV stand positioned which is positioned on the same flecked edge of rug. The material of this non intrusive piece of furniture compliments the mirrored wall on the opposite side of the room and blends in nicely to the overall look and feel. The wooden working desk in the corner by the window suggests that this space is desired to have a multi functional purpose. The intense blue shade which is repeated throughout this colourful space is replicated on a cute stool and although appears to be proportionally balanced I do not feel this chair is quite fit for purpose at a writing desk. A chair that supports the back would be deemed as being more comfortable and appropriate enhancing this room functionality
Art is always a highly debated topic. What is art? What is artistic? Which is better poem or song? Music and poetry are both great ways to express artistic passion, and each have something a little different to from the other. Two greatly artistic pieces is the song “Chicken Fried” by Zac Brown Band, and the poem “Living Room” by david Yezzi. In this case, though it is a great piece, the song “Chicken Fried” by Zac Brown Band is not as artistic as the poem “Living Room” by David Yezzi. The use of similes, rhyme scheme, diction, symbolism, and just overall theme, truly makes “Living Room” the more artistic piece. And with good reason! The sheer luxury of the property is overwhelming. The mansion has 34 beautifully decorated rooms that boast 15th through 19th century art and furnishings. While blending together harmoniously, there is nothing subtle about the elaborately carved furniture, voluminous drapes, ornate carvings, and the richly colored tiles. The intent is to convey the excesses of wealth, which it does, albeit with grace and elegance.
The lighting on the painting emphasizes the antique glow the painting has. The natural colors and dull texture further elicit the antique feel of the wooden cabinet and drapery.
The two focal figures are illustrated with complementary colors, the woman 's dress being orange, and the man’s pants being blue. Benton uses these colors to bring life into the painting. The background is made up mostly of earthy colors like, greens, browns, and greys and a light blue for the sky. Benton seems to add white to every color he uses, which gives the painting an opaque look. The deepest hues found in this painting are the blue one the man’s pants and the orange on the woman’s dress, everything else around them looks washed out and Benton does this to emphasize his focal points

The dark color of the chair fades into the background, making the focus solely on him. His white shirt contrasts the dimly lit room, pulling the viewers eye right to him. The blue rectangle spread across his chest highlights his heart down to his abdomen, arguably the most sensitive parts of the body. It is flanked by the two other primary colors, red and yellow quilts that lay under his arms. These two colors make their final appearance on a tied wrapped around the lamp. With the base of the lamp blending into the background, the light bulb has the illusion of floating. This tie not only grounds the lamp, but speaks to Wallace’s style as a writer, being focused on irony and deviating from society. Also, the bulb leans slightly to the viewer’s left, being the same direction as his gaze. While a more polished image would have the bulb be parallel with the side of the image, Wallace’s work dove into the truth behind the human mind, thus promoting individuality. Having this perplexing perspective of the bulb emphasizes the genuineness of Wallace as a writer. The odd symbols on his bandana also symbolizes individuality, leaving the audience confused and questioning its meaning. All the shiny items to the back of the room caught my eye instantly because they appeared to look rich and prestigious. On the right of the big main entrance door in front, there was a silver tree, and on the opposite side of the room on the left side of the door, there was a gold tree. The theme can be generally recognized in this piece through color, space, and especially through use of light. The colors used in this piece are mostly calm toned, whereas the robes and shawls worn are pale blues, corals, and beiges. There are however, some harsh colored objects such as Mary’s navy blue shaul and deep coral gown, as well as Christ’s coral necklace that stand out from the rest of the colors. Mary’s veil and the angel on the lefts’ hair are translucent in certain streams of light coming from the windows throughout the room. As previously pointed out the piece is full of many vibrant colors, like the floors a dull, muted yet dark brown that is accented with the pale almost teal colored shade of green, primarily in the far end on the floor. The glass on the window in the back has both light greens and yellow shades next to each other, yellow on the right side and the light green colors, covering more of the glass on most of the windowpanes, on the left side. The walls are a light blue with the occasional bundle of white lines or streaks of white. Both of the doors that are partially visible are similar shades of blue, one of them has blotches of a brownish grey color. The other door has a different colored doorframe, a green stripe on the left side, which is immediately followed by a white stripe.
Wright designed the dinning room table and chairs to match the interior and exterior façade of the hollyhock flower. Wright had designed six wood ceiling grilles for the dining room, but was never installed due to project budgeting. All the living room desks, chairs, or indirect lighting was arranged based on a two sofas sets. Wright preferred to design all the interior details in order achieve a sense of visual harmony throughout the building environment.

The light from the sun reflects off the pure white wall, illuminating the room. The dust floats, undisturbed by the empty house. This is what I see as I launch myself out the door, into the hot summer air, into the sounds of playing children.
When reminiscing about my childhood a home is hard to recall. It seemed common for others to have a place called home. Moving from house to house was not the problem, but the empty feeling. Home to me was my grandparent’s house. I spent nearly all of my childhood there. My grandparents bought the one story house with two bedrooms in the early seventies. From the spacious bedroom, to the kitchen with endless possibilities and the way I spent my time this house defined my character.
