A Place to Learn and Develop
When people think about Early Childhood education, they might think it is an easy job. However, working with young children is a big responsibility. The job requires the knowledge of professional educators to provide children a safe, healthy, and a learning environment in which they feel free to explore, learn, and develop. Therefore, preschools play an important role in young children since it provides early learning experiences children need for future success.
Students at Santa Ana College often pass by the preschool not realizing it is there, on the first floor of the stony V building, located at the back parking lot of the college. It looks like any other building on compus, just gray and simple. When I first …show more content…

You must be a student, have a negative TB test done, and have an appointment. Consequently, I called the center on March 1, 2016 to make the appointment. The telephone had rang just a couple of times before they answered my call. Then, the receptionist asked me some questions including what was my visit for, what class was it for, and the day and time I would like to come. It literally took me only two minutes.
Thursday, March 3, 2016 was the day I visited the center. I walked from building A, located next to the administration building, to building V at the back parking lot. While I was walking, I could feel something in my stomach. I was nervous. Even though I have been in the center with children before, I’m still feeling like that because it is always a different experience. I walked through the college’s courtyard, passed the back bussy parking, and finally got to the unknown preschool. At that time I could feel already children’s essence. When I opened the glass door with my shaking right hand, the first thing I saw was the front desk and a lot of people going in and out. I can tell it was a busy morning. “Good morning, take a sit please, I’ll be with you,” said the secretary while she was attending the parents who where droping their child for school. The reception room was kind of small, so traffic was notorious. Five minutes later, I was asked to sign in by writing my name and the time on a list. Then, she gave me a visting card and the classroom I had to go in. After that, I was allowed to get into the preschool
