Today early care and education is becoming more diverse. Many early care educators face challenging tasks. Children of all generations have always been raised by families, friends, and the neighborhood. Education experiences for young children should emphasize meaning making and the construction of knowledge. Early care programs tend to mimic how the child’s background at home, which gives the parent a choice of putting their child in the program due to their views of education and discipline. Early care and education plays a major role in a child’s learning. In order to, keep an early care and education program running you need to make sure the most important responsibilities are established.

If a child hears something bad or good, that child most likely will repeat it. During music time in Pre-K, the children are listening to a number song to learn how to count. Eventually the children will learn to count. Not all children listen or watch others to learn something they are called self-taught children. Self-taught children are the ones that will constantly repeat something over and over until they get it right. If a child sees that all her peers know how to tie their shoes, she will take the time to teach herself when no one else not willing too.
The most important responsibilities of early care and education are health and safety, personnel policies, and services to children. Health and safety procedures should ne done accordingly to the handbook. Before changing any diaper, uses gloves. After changing a diaper, throw gloves away and wash hands thoroughly. Always sanitize toys, cots, cribs, and napping cots after every use. Keep chemicals and medications out of reach of children. Make sure to know which child can have a certain food item. Make sure to check to see who is dropping or picking up a child.

Early childhood education, although constantly evolving, was actually established and practiced as early on as the times of Ancient Greece and Rome. The foundation that early childhood education is based upon is to instill in children the skills needed to succeed later on in life, while making sure young children enjoy their time in schooling. Throughout chapter 3 in the textbook Who Am I in the Lives of Children, the reader is capable of evaluating just how greatly the methods for teaching today’s youth have evolved and changed for the better.
Children who participate in quality early learning programs tend to be more successful later in school. They are also most socially and emotionally competent. In addition those children show higher verbal and intellectual development during early childhood than children who do not participate in early learning programs (A Parent’s Guide to Choosing Quality Child Care). In order for a child care center to be a quality center they must have an educated staff, a program accreditation, and good health and safety practices. Parents choose high quality child care for many reasons. These programs prepare children for school in which they gain intellectual and social skills. Also the programs are a good opportunity for children because they receive age-appropriate learning materials and activities to let the children learn and grow.

Daycare’s focus is mainly on a child’s development through social interaction with children and caregivers. There are head start programs that are geared to give children a foot in the right direction in order to be ready for preschool or kindergarten. The right kind of childcare can be a wonderful opportunity to promote the profound learning children experience from birth through age five (Selecting Child Care, 2002). When selecting childcare for your child, the Foundation of Early Learning has offered some tips that they believe will be helpful in the process. The foundation says that parents have always known that a good early experience is important for their child.
From the perspective I have at this stage in my journey in the early childhood education field, I would like to share what I have come to value and believe in regards to early learning and care by looking at my philosophy statement. To begin we will look at the statement and highlight three key features and find out why they are important to me, then we will see what they will look like in my practice, and lastly we will examine these ideas closely by looking at where they originated. By taking an in-depth look at my philosophy statement we will better understand the motivation behind my practice which I hope to continue to refine and refresh as I gain more knowledge and experience.

The role of the early childhood educator, while rewarding, can sometimes feel as is you are climbing a mountain. Educators have to consider how to implement curriculum, instruction, management, and technology in the classroom. Educators also have to provide an environment where all children feel safe and nurtured. When creating a course of action, educators have to consider their role as well as the role of the student, parent, and community.

Nappy changing, going toilet and mealtimes. Helping the children with these essential needs makes the child feel comfort, supported and reassured. We support these needs by having set and regular times that they have to be done by and keeping records of what they have eaten throughout day too inform parents and what there nappies were for each change. Its important to have set times and keeping too the routine making sure it is consistent for example at the setting we do nappies at 9, at 11 before dinner and sleep time (for some children) 2, when those children are waking and 4 after tea, and before children start going home. We also have to check nappies every half an hour and if necessary we need t change any child who has soiled before they must be change regardless. When taking children to the toilet it is important to take a group of children because this may encourage children to go more seeing others doing it and they may feel not alone and more comfortable having others company. We also have too ask children who are toileting every half hour if they need to go to prevent accidents. Once children have finished its important too encourage child to empty/clean potty or flush toilet then illiterate how important it is too wash/dry hands too prevent bacteria. Furthermore, having routines at mealtimes is vital for example dinner is same time everyday so children can
The first two years of a humans life are bursting with biosocial, cognitive, and psychosocial development. In the first few weeks after conception to two years after birth a child’s brain experiences more growth than any other organ in the body. During the first two years of a child’s life the brain is very plastic and malleable. In order for children to continue down a path of success and learning there are certain experiences a child must have in order to develop normally. The First Two years of a child life is responsible for the foundation that is layed.
There are many aspects to early childhood education including what all it contains and is being taught. People willing to teach in an early childhood center are vitally important for learning and have overwhelming benefits for the children (Teufel). Children are expected to know much more information at an early age, so it benefits children to have the opportunity to take part in a program before kindergarten.

By taking part in continuing education, and integrating current research and practices, educators and administrators will be better able to promote innovation and improvement in both managing, and teaching. Since early childcare educators are keenly aware of the needs of children and are able to see trends in early the child care and development system and their impact on children and families, they have a responsibility to engage in informed advocacy for children (Mevawalla & Hadley, 2012). By getting involved in the public policy-making process, they can help educate the public and build support for early childhood issues that will help improve the lives of children and families. Early childhood professionals have many important roles and responsibilities. “Teaching young children is serious work that requires high-quality, dedicated, professional teachers who see the importance of what they do and are eager to increase their effectiveness, knowledge, and skills” (Phajane, 2014, p.
Early childhood education plays a key role in a child’s academic development because he or she learns soft skills, job skills, and develop positive traits. Preschool is not like kindergarten, but instead a stepping-stone that prepares young students for the years of schooling they will have later in life. As more schools began to open families wanted to be able to verify that programs would benefit and protect their children. In response, the National Association for the Education of Young Children was made to help families find the best care for their children, by providing the early childhood educators with training and ensuring the quality of children’s daily experiences.
