Living my life as an Eagle Scout and my grandmother being a nurse from the Philippines, Its been in my blood to be a strong care taker. Having Christ be the center of my heart has rounded my faithfulness and shaped me to the individual I am today. Ever since I first started walking I’ve loved having a voice, I enjoy working with people and selling anything I could. When I was five years old I went door to door selling bottles of water that I acquired from my families fridge and also selling paper plates with hand drawn smiley faces on the center. Salesmanship started my drive of enjoying the science behind business and communication, I strongly enjoyed having lemonade stands throughout the summer and Fall. Having a strong strive for business
Achieving the rank of Eagle Scout has been one of my greatest accomplishments of my life. Getting my Eagle Scout has given me three great benefits; the first one is many life skills, benefits while applying for a job, and people look up to me as an Eagle Scout. Getting this award has been a great honor and has taught me many of the life skills needed to be successful in today’s modern society.
The most honorable experience that I have had is working on my Eagle Scout project. I learned how to become a better leader, tackle difficult situations and how to work with others. All of these skills helped me be a better person.
Sometimes a loss of innocence through contact with evil and life experiences leads to maturity. It helps one see the world for what it really is and gives a shot of reality instead of just living in a dream world. In the novel To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, Scout’s early childhood innocence is lost as she becomes a near grown up. She starts to see Maycomb in a different light and learns to accept people as they truly are instead of what she thought they were. This is because she comes in contact with racial prejudice, Boo Radley and she real people of Maycomb.
developed a passion to emulate my grandmother’s desire to serve others. I volunteered at Church, visited
As a kid, I recall my parents and many relatives frequently asking, "What do you want to be when you grow up?", and without hesitation, I would think of the coolest occupations. My answers would usually comprise of being a cop, nurse, astronaut or the President of the Untied States. It was difficult to pick one, as there were numerous jobs that held my interest. For some individuals, dream occupations turn into a reality. Often times, the professions we loved growing up becomes a fun memory in the past. Throughout my childhood, my parents valued the significance and importance of regarding and helping other people. Before attending college, I was uncertain of my career plan, however; was one thing I was sure of was: the longing to help, to teach, and/or to positively affect others.
The core values I think represent me the best are Honesty, Friendly, Helpful, and Courteous. These are a few of the things I learned from achieving the rank of Eagle Scout in my Boy Scout troop, the scout law has twelve core values but these are the ones that best represent me. Each of these four words I depict in my everyday style whether its helping someone with directions or holding the door open for someone whose hands are full to making sure that I am polite to everyone I meet and making sure that I use my own work and to not plagiarize someone else’s just to complete some school work, or receive a higher grade on a test. The other eight values that are in the scout law are my best characteristics and those are loyal, kind, obedient, cheerful,
I have a lot of goals in my lifetime from the small things like joining football next year, to the big things like Becoming a Naval Officer. Being an Eagle Scout will also really help me achieve many of these goals. I joined Cub Scouts in 3rd grade as a bear, and I still enjoy it to this day.
For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted a career where I could help people in any way. I have wanted to be a pediatric nurse since I was young. As I have grown older, I have come to the realization that I want to become a surgeon. Becoming a surgeon would allow me to heal any physical pain in another’s life. All of the schooling that I will be completing in the near future will all be for the goal of providing aid for others. Wanting to help others encourages me to attend Case Western Reserve University. This is a college that is ranked highly for academics and also has a highly accredited medical school that will provide me with the education needed to move on to helping others. One day in my life, I might even consider joining the military as a medic. This would allow me to help those fighting for our country. Until I reach the point in my life where I am capable of helping others first hand, I enjoy giving back to those in the community through community service with Interact Club and also volunteering at a local fire department. With both of these services, I fundraise to raise money for the community along with helping at other activities. Another common act that I have done is donate blood. Providing for those who cannot provide for themselves is something that I am very passionate about. I feel as though I have everything in my life that I need and I want to provide to others
My interest persisted and grew as I began to see how my efforts had the ability to improve the lives of people around me. I first noticed this on a personal level as friends would come to me for advice or for me to listen to their struggles and provide comfort. No matter how mundane, horrific, unique, or common the story was, I listened to them in a genuine and non-judgmental manner. I truly enjoyed hearing people’s stories and providing comfort and advice when needed. These moments helped me realize the power of simply being there for someone, and it increased my interest of pursuing a career where I can support those who need it most. I want to become a social worker so I can provide direction to those who may not be able to get it from other sources, just like I have done for various people throughout my life.
For me, it didn’t click that I can turn these characteristics and skills into a career that I would enjoy until I started meeting regularly with my High School Counselor, Mrs. Corbin. I met with Mrs. Corbin once a day for about an hour in order to receive my community service hours that were required for graduation. Much like me, she has a passion for helping others and she carried me through my entire senior year. She would show my how to fill out college applications, help determine which college was the best fit for me, we spoke a lot about what major I should consider, and give me advice or just listen to what was going on in my life. She really inspired me to be on this path that I am today because I want to give others the help, love, and support she gave me. She recognized my desire to help others and “people person” skills and would always say “You’ll miss your calling in life if you don’t become some sort of counsellor”. That phrase always
Although I am a hard worker, I do enjoy having fun and trying new things. I am always looking for a new artist to see live or a new restaurant to eat at. I try to travel and go to festivals as much as my wallet permits me to. I strongly believe doing what is considered fun to you is when you are most present and happy. Artisans are competitive, impulsive, and adaptable. They are also too nice for their own good. Generosity and compassion are my favorite traits about myself however, at times I find it can only put me in a bad position or out of luck. Artisans also don’t enjoy being confined. They do what they want, when they want. Here again, I see the results to be very in line with my personality. I do not enjoy being bound down. I like to think for myself and do what I want to do. This definitely relates to more of the relationships in my life. Lastly, the ideal job for me would be a job where I have the freedom to “gather observations, collections of facts, and set of skills in order to do your work.” Overall, I found my results to be very on point with my actually personality. It was a tad creepy however amusing to read and relate
Some of these hobbies are woodworking, carpentry, and general building. Recently, I’ve felt my calling from God is to serve in Central America. It’s still not sure to me whether I will be building houses or something else, but I know whatever it is, God will use me to serve. Recording an event and burning it onto CDs can lead people to God and building a home could completely change a person’s life. These acts of love display God and His contagious love. These are all things that God has been putting on my heart since that small trip. The Lord can and will use me, and many other people to serve and show people the power of His

A scout is defined by how he lives his daily life. By definition, he is suppose to live by the Scout Oath and the Scout Law. If he lives by these guidelines, he is subject to several virtues: patience, leadership, and trouble shooting. In all my scouting experiences, these virtues have been blindly apparent and have served me well.
There were many instances in my life that have shaped my values, intellect, and academic or career goals. I was raised by my parents to become a hard worker, independent, and caring young adult. I was taught how to be all these qualities by a combination of experiencing and witnessing them first hand.
