“Make America Great Again” (Trump). This is the quote Donald Trump runs by. But if this was true, why does he say that if he were elected, he will take actions that will only make America suffer? Trump has never done anything beneficial for the U.S. He is a businessman who only cares about making money and increasing his wealth. Trump should not become president, for he is an unqualified candidate who has no political background and makes unconstitutional promises. Donald Trump is an arrogant candidate for chief executive, who doesn’t acknowledge the views of the people and whose only concern is how much he has in his pocket. He only represents a small portion of individuals and rest differ. Everyone believes that he is rich and successful because he is an entrepreneur and a hard-working citizen. That’s not true. He is only rich because his daddy was rich, not because he strived to get there. So why should we make him president if he chose the easy path and didn’t work to get where he
Trump declares that, “[...he will build a wall to border Texas and Mexico]” (Br). He also states that the U.S in not going to pay for it, but he will force Mexico to! How can this guy be taken seriously? Mexico’s obviously going to refuse to pay, and America is just going to end up in more debt. This proves that Donald Trump has no idea what he is talking about and that he just makes absurd statements for the approval for the people. Trump is also racist towards muslims and believes that all are terrorists, “Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States” Most importantly, Trump contains no political background and clearly doesn’t know any real resolutions for some of the nation’s biggest
Alexis de Tocqueville and Langston Hughes both have their own ideas about what America is, was, and should be. Alexis de Tocqueville’s Democracy in America praises American democracy in which everyone is included. This inclusion allows for democracy that everyone can be a part of and feel like they are contributing. On the contrary, Langston Hughes’s “Let America Be America Again” depicts an excluding America that does not treat everyone equivalently. Hughes portrays America as a misrepresentation that does not uphold the ideals that it is so famous for. The two works contrast in many ways but do have some similarities. Although their ideas are different, politics is still a choice. Tocqueville describes politics as a choice that everyone should make as it benefits them all while Hughes describes politics as a choice that some do not have the power to take part in. The differing sentiments between Democracy in America and “Let America Be America Again” stem
Due to Donald Trump’s lack of political experience, preoccupation with multiple careers, and blatantly self-serving intentions, he should not ever have been considered a reasonable candidate for the presidential election.
One of the most important aspects of a presidential nominee is the candidate political ideology, and how that candidate transforms their ideology into vision with specific agenda that they can convince voters of. When we look at Donald Trump’s official campaign site we see seven position or stances on an issues that trump has chosen to center his campaign around was one of the main issues Trump addressed in every stump speech he gave during the primary. The first one listed is a step by step process in which he will build a giant wall between the border of the United States, and Mexico will pay for this far. Trump feels so confidently that this will happen he has even mapped it out day by day after he takes office of presidency stating, “On day 2 Mexico will immediately protest. They receive approximately $24 billion a year in remittances from Mexican nationals working in the United States. The majority of that amount comes from illegal aliens. It serves as de facto welfare for poor families in Mexico. There is no significant social safety net provided by the state in Mexico. On day 3 tell Mexico that if the Mexican government will contribute the
“The beauty of me is that I am very rich” according to Donald Trump. His ignorance has lead him to do things that he shouldn’t being doing or has done. In the past few months he has been racist man that would insult people that are from a different race. When Trump started running for president he would insult and bully everybody in general not knowing the people’s stories. He made people seem like they are poor and have nothing to live for, Trump’s inability to see past his greed. He wants to separate the United States and wants people to think he is the best of the best; Trump should not be President.
“Make America Great Again,” the campaign slogan know all around the world that is determined to change the face of 2016 election when sixty nine year old Donald John Trump is elected. In 2004, the federal debt was $7.3 trillion. This rose to $10 trillion when the housing bubble burst four years later. Today it exceeds $18 trillion and is projected to approach $21 trillion by 2019. Debt is not the only the thing the United States has been dealing within the past years, such as immigration, abortion, guns, foreign policy, taxes, along with numerous other topics, yet Trump has a way to solve the unsolved and yes, “Make America Great Again.”
Trump built an Empire and will run America like a business. Trump is an experienced and tough dealmaker. Trump has led large organizations before. Not too many people look beyond his bankruptcies and the fact that he inherited large sums. However, he leads an enormous, diversified organization that is worth billions of dollars. This takes loads of Leadership, which is very different from knowledge. Leading a large organization makes you set vision, goals and expect results. You do not know the little details of every level of your organization just like the president does not know. (You mentally couldn’t know all that) That is why you delegate and empower and get information when it is needed and the president will have no shortage of people ready to educate him on issues. Trump is a negotiator. One of his most under discussed attributes, but yet one of his greatest assets. Trump’s spent his entire life and career making and negotiating deals. In his own words, he negotiates to win.
Donald Trump is a republican politician and businessman who was elected on November 8, 2016, as the president of United States taking the power in January of 2017. Trump brought many worries to a lot of people in the U.S.A and abroad which made them unhappy, but his presidency also made many people happy, especially Christians and republicans. I personally did not watch the debates, but I was able to hear about it on people around me, as most of the people that I know wanted Hillary Clinton to win because they saw so much of discrimination on Trump. Trump focused his campaign and debates on focusing on changing America for better, but the better changes were saying was only to give the opportunities to Americans only, cutting off the opportunity
Examining Trump’s rhetoric and past actions, it becomes clear that Trump’s ability to be the leader of America, especially in today’s already heated world climate, becomes questionable. When even the members of his own party refuse to endorse him and claim that he is not qualified to run a country, the general public needs to sit back and question his integrity. In Trump’s past, he has proven to be an insensitive, racist, greedy business man. Why would he prove to be any different once elected to office?
As a result of extreme hard work and perseverance followed by an unmatchable drive to succeed, Donald J. Trump has earned the right to be known as a multi-billionaire, real estate icon, and President of the United States of America. Reflecting on his life, he has faced many challenges and overcame them all. To understand how he rose to success and his journey to the top of the kingpin, it is important to recognize how he saw the American dream and pursued it. Today, many recognize him as the president, but very few can fully grasp all that he has done in his life. From his start as a real estate mogul, to his impact on the media, there are many questions as to how he became so recognizable today.
Donald Trump is a successful businessman who has accomplished more than most people could ever dream of. He started in the real estate business and has his own university, appeared on a T.V. show, is a billionaire, has many golf resorts, and is the president of the United States. He is criticized for many of his comments and political views. Some of these views are him wanting to build a wall to protect the United States from illegal immigrants and drugs, wanting to replace The Affordable Care Act, and banning people from Muslim countries to keep out terrorists. Although Donald Trump is often viewed as a controversial figure, he benefitted the United States of America by improving and creating jobs, proving that non-establishment politicians can still win the presidency, and by making America safer.
Make America Great! That was the slogan used by President Donald Trump. In retrospect, this very simple message, "Make America Great", resonated with a large portion of the population. Sadly as Nate Silver has pointed out, in his statistically analysis, voter who needed the most of a welfare state were the ones who voted for Donal Trump. In this case, white, rural, and non-college educated voted for Donald Trump.
As stated from Unmasking the Need for Accountability: Why Canceling Donald Trump is a Moral Imperative, “Trump's policies and rhetoric have had tangible, detrimental effects on individuals and communities. From separating families at the border to downplaying the severity of the COVID-19 pandemic, Trump's decisions have had real, often devastating consequences for the American people.” This evidence proves that Donald Trump has caused more harm than good to his citizens. Rather than Trump spending time helping out his citizens who voted for him, he spends time on himself and ruining other peoples lives. Donald Trump will only do what he thinks will make him look good, instead of actually doing what needs to be done.
Should Donald Trump Become President? How would it feel to wake up every morning and know that Donald Trump was the leader of the nation, And that one day he would run this country into the ground. If Donald Trump becomes president he will build a wall, try to get rid of obamacare, will ruin this country and will probably be the cause of World War 3 in my opinion. Donald trump altogether is just not a good person and is selfish and likes to get what he wants.
Donald Trump, ironically called our great president, turned out to be a complete joke and a total catastrophe. He is the most ridiculous and miserable person that this country could ever have as a president because instead of making the United States a better country as he said, he is making it worse by the decisions he does wrong such as, the messed up choices he makes and the horrendous habits that he has. At first he was like cute little bird singing a song by all the amazing things he said he could do to this country that would benefit everyone but as time progress he started becoming a grievous storm, that damages everything that gets in his way because of the decisions he started making without thinking of others but himself and how
But he make more controversial thing about it by announced that, for building the wall, the government of Mexico have to pay all the cost. It’s unclear how much both of these directives will cost, though a DHS internal report estimated the wall alone will cost $21.6 billion (Common Dreams, 2017). Trump’s regulations basically do not have much different with previous presidency’s regulations, except he wanted to do and finish it faster. This regulation that Trump has made, became the things that hold or freeze the diplomatic relations between this two
