Donald Trump Political Ideology

One of the most important aspects of a presidential nominee is the candidate political ideology, and how that candidate transforms their ideology into vision with specific agenda that they can convince voters of. When we look at Donald Trump’s official campaign site we see seven position or stances on an issues that trump has chosen to center his campaign around was one of the main issues Trump addressed in every stump speech he gave during the primary. The first one listed is a step by step process in which he will build a giant wall between the border of the United States, and Mexico will pay for this far. Trump feels so confidently that this will happen he has even mapped it out day by day after he takes office of presidency stating, “On day 2 Mexico will immediately protest. They receive approximately $24 billion a year in remittances from Mexican nationals working in the United States. The majority of that amount comes from illegal aliens. It serves as de facto welfare for poor families in Mexico. There is no significant social safety net provided by the state in Mexico. On day 3 tell Mexico that if the Mexican government will contribute the

funds needed to the United States to pay for the wall, the Trump Administration will not promulgate the final rule, and the regulation will not go into effect.” (Trump).
Trump has strategically chosen to align the issues of his campaign to be inline and harmony with the overall political platform of the Republican Party that has nominated him.

Trump assures voters he will defend their second amendment right to bear arms, an issue many Republicans feel very passionately about. Other issues such as his tax reform plan are designed to appeal to middle class workers frustrated with their jobs or lack of jobs as trump assures voters if elected he will bring business, trade, and jobs back to America. One issue Trump addresses that is also a huge stance the Republican party overall has taken is that he will repeal the Affordable Care Act, and overall he will save our nation from the turmoil and trouble that President Obama and a Democratic executive branch has gotten this nation

into.
Hilary Clinton website on the other hand addresses gives her positions and stances on topics divided up into the 6 major subtopics of Economy and Jobs, Education, Environment, Health, Justice and Equality, and National Security. Clintons website has multitude of information about the candidates stances on numerous varying issues, while also doing a great job to quite in depth about what exact plan and agenda the candidate has to address every issue and topic listed. Under the Economy and Jobs tab Clinton assures voters she will, “Making sure the wealthy, Wall Street, and corporations pay their fair share in taxes”, and also claiming she will, “We need to build an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top.” (Clinton)
Hilary’s website really makes it clear she intendeds on continuing and expanding many of the acts, legislation, plans, and programs that President Obama has fought for throughout his last two terms as president, such as providing “Universal, quality, affordable health care for everyone in America”, and her site even touches on hot topic issues such as gun violence stating, “We can—and must—end the epidemic of gun violence.” (Clinton) Hilary’s views and positions pretty much represent the ideology and platform of the Democratic Party as a Whole, which is not surprising given how involved she has been with the Democratic Party since a young age. Her position really speaks to the groups that make up liberal voters such as minority groups, and other female voters, and she makes a great case for the fact she is fighting for those suffer from injustices of all kind.
