When a president is unhonest and is disrespectful the people start doubting on there “great leader” and just start opposing him. In other words they start to realize that their leader isn't worth being the commander that will make the country great or powerful. In the article “ Donald Trump Is A Phony, A Fraud” Donald Trump lies numerous times such as “ He claimed that he had spoken clearly and boldly against going into Iraq. Wrong, he spoke in favor of invading Iraq. ” and “ He said he saw thousands of Muslims in New Jersey celebrating 9/11” This is the most devastating and inaccurate a president could say, these lies should not be even taken as a joke. Not all muslims where the event causers of 911, he depicts that all the Muslims caused it which is very disrespectful by saying such a lie. Donald hasn't recently showed the greatness and the goals he advocated/promised in all his speeches. On the other hand John F. Kennedy completed promises and goals such as the immigration and naturalization act. Including that President Kennedy participated in World war 2, he was “...Navy Lieutenant Junior....” for the united states in 1942(World War II Naval Hero to President ). This shows experiences in combat and as a result John F Kennedy was successful in the
The best presidents that the United states has ever seen have to have been Abe Lincoln or George Washington. They were both loyal and cared about their country. George Washington founded the base for our beautiful country that we live in to this day. Abe Lincoln put a stop to slavery during his presidency before he was shot in the back of the head and murdered in the Ford Theater. They both put a lot of time and effort into building our country up. George Washington was an Army general and fought in many hard battles in the cold and across rivers and lakes. We have a lot to thank these men for and lots to learn from their noble actions. Living in their legacy is the whole United States that thanks them for their service. Another great president
The number 1 president of the U.S. Is George Washington. He was a commanding officer while the American Revolution was taking place and he is still one of the main authoritative and famous people in U.S. history. His benefaction stretches out really far out maybe even compared to others in the history of America. George was incorporated two different times in Germantown taking part in history. While the rebellion was taking place (1770s) George directed the U.S. forces in the Germantown war. The way to avoid the Yellow Fever Epidemic (1773), was that the statehouse had to move to Germantown, from Philadelphia. Inside of the Germantown homestead inhabitant Major Franks, George stayed there and encountered his council, that involved Alexander
How many Americans recognize the man on the back of the one hundred dollar bill? Do you know who he is and why he is on the back of that bill? If you said George Washington then you are right! It is said that when one begins something that others will follow behind you and in George Washington's case that is correct. George Washington paved the way for many other presidents that followed after him up until the one we currently have today. Without our first president we would not have our current president. George Washington made huge contributions and achievements to our country that still stand today.
President Kennedy was a very poor president. But however president Kennedy was a very brilliant president. When he was sworn into office, he said these tremendous words “My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.” Mr. Kennedy established the Peace Corps, which was huge in America. He also prevented nuclear war. He did many things to make America better. The assassination of JFK was a very depressing day for many people in America.
George Washington and his presidency were highly crucial for the formation of the United States and defined the president and executive branch powers.
The two leaders that this paper will compare are John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan I is in my opinion that these two United State of American Presidents were and are historical leaders. John Fitzgerald Kennedy often referred to as JFK was the 35th President of the United States of America and served in this capacity from 1961 until his assassination in 1963. Kennedy served before his presidency as Massachusetts’s 11th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1947 to 1953. Kennedy also served in the U.S. Senate from 1953 to 1960. After this he was elected to a President in 1961. At the young age of 43 Kennedy was the second youngest president to be elected in to the office of Commander in Chief (U.S. President).Ronald Wilson Reagan was the 40th President of the United States serving from 1981 to 1989. Reagan served as the 33rd Governor of California...
The United States of America was formed by many president's of our time. One of these very influential presidents was George Washington. Courageous, smart and firm. The "founding father" has influenced many people today. He was a commander in chief of the forces during the Revolutionary War, chairman of the convention that wrote the Constitution, and the very first president. He has made very important decisions that still influence our country today.
After all these years since the United States was born no one has forgotten the name George Washington. George Washington help the united states gain its independence. That wasn't all after we one independence George Washington was elected the first U.S. president. I believe that George Washington was the best president because he was our first its because of him how we are today even though the U.S. is going through a rough patch right now he left a great name for the United States Of America. George Washington was the right man for the job.
JFK had lots of accomplishments during his short term as president.... ... middle of paper ... ... But sadly JFK was not alive to witness that his imagination & promise had been fulfilled. President Kennedy’s very famous quote “ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country” was definitely fulfilled by himself actually.
Leadership is something that as humans we strive to be good at. It’s a skill that can be fostered in school, homes and sports. As Americans we often turn to those in leadership positions to help us during troubling times. Many great leaders have been born out of grave tragedy, when one person can show strength, wisdom and courage we celebrate them. Our country is driven by men and women who are out into leadership roles. Congress and government have their fair share of both positive and negative leaders. One perfect example of leadership is the position of the American President. Being the leader of the free world comes with immense pressure. Throughout history we have been able to see different men take on this role. No one has ever done the job perfectly but some presidents have made a stronger imprint on our society then others. Our twenty sixth president, Theodore Roosevelt, is one of those presidents, despite hardships and tragedies his passion for a better America was his motivation to fight for the country he loved.
The late president John Fitzgerald Kennedy once said, “Sure it's a big job; but I don't know anyone who can do it better than I can” (“John F. Kennedy” BrainyQuote.com). Kennedy was a young and fresh political figure at the time of his election in 1960. The thirty-fifth president of the United States was born May 29, 1917, in Brookline, Massachusetts. He was the youngest president ever, as well as the first and only Roman Catholic president (Bass, et al.). His presidency was shortened by an assassin on November 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas. Kennedy preceded his presidency with a term in the U.S. House of Representatives (1947-1953) and a term in the U.S. Senate (1953-1961) (“John F. Kennedy” History.com). Kennedy, a charismatic and energetic leader, was loved by the American people. He had many plans for his time in office, some of which he was able to personally achieve, while others were left to his vice-president, Lyndon B. Johnson. Although his life was tragically cut short, John F. Kennedy left an indelible mark on the United States of America in and out of the oval office.
A war veteran, leader, and first president of the United States of America, George Washington was one of our greatest leaders of all time. As one of the founding fathers, George Washington lived during the era of struggle and colonization. As the first President of our country, Washington learned valuable skills as a young boy, became a war hero, and set the standard for the future leaders of the United States of America.
America deserves a good president; one who can help the country unite and grow by enforcing laws that lead the citizens to safety and peace. Over the past 235 years, our country has had about 46 presidents; some being strong leaders and others pushing away during tough times. Two strong leaders among many American citizens are George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. In 1789, George Washington was inaugurated as president. George Washington is famously known for being the first president of the USA, leading the Continental Army in victory over the British in the American Revolution, and helping create the US Constitution.
In the midst of one of the most controversial presidential elections in history, both political parties are struggling to prove that their candidate is the best choice. Clinton and Trump’s disapproval ratings are very low, but one has to ask, is there really a lesser evil to choose from? While Clinton has had her own fair share of past discrepancies, Trump’s track record proves much more troublesome. Donald Trump has proven to be an untrustworthy presidential candidate because of his misogynistic actions, his racial bias, and his corrupt business history.
Margaret Atwood’s “The Handmaid's Tale,” is overflowing with references to overpowering masculinity, negative sexualization and oppressive authority, obviously lacking any slight expression of femininity. The most relevant mention of femininity can be found in the recurring references to the diverse flowers. A flower, is often seens as a symbol of beauty, fertility or femininity. However, in “The Handmaid’s Tale” the presences of certain flowers seem to reflect objects that have the ability to bloom or grow, unlike the woman, potentially symbolizing a sense of freedom or self-growth. Additionally, in a more literal way a flower can be seen as the part of the plant that hosts the reproductive organs, thus drawing attention to the woman who lack
