Domestic transportation law is a conglomeration of Federal statues, regulations, and codes; additionally, many states, counties, and local jurisdictions also have laws and regulations that are incorporated into domestic transportation law. In general most transportation law deals with safety and restricts the type and scope of conveyance in regard to the product being transported. The basis for all federal domestic transportation law is the United States Constitution which authorizes Congress regulate interstate commerce (Transportation Law1). Domestic laws not only govern the infrastructure that the conveyances travel upon and in but the conveyances themselves, for example FAA regulations cover the air terminal, airport grounds and surrounding areas including the airspace above the grounds, the passengers, cargo, crews and the actual aircraft as well as support vehicles. Homeland Security Presidential Directive 5 directly relates to the National Incident Management System and the National Response Framework. In fact, it directly correlates with their missions. HSPD-5 was the directive that needed to start things in motion; NIMS and the NRF are the aftermath of the directive. With the formation of NIMS and soon after the NRF, America can operate successfully under one national manage...

A method used consistently has had some form of qualitative, empirical research and sometimes combined with quantitative data from surveys. I believe this was to help identify underlying complex factors. Yet, the articles don’t explore explicitly how these attitudes, preferences and choices are made. Consequently, referring to books written for transportation policies and problems surrounding this transport mode became necessary to understanding these

The transport sector underpins modern society through its movement of resources, goods, services and people, which directly sustains the global economy and peoples’ livelihoods (Robèrt et al., 2017). Although, the inability of the transport sector to develop sustainably has resulted in failings at environmental, economic and social levels that threaten its long-term viability (Schiller et al., 2010). To transition to a more sustainable transport system, there is a direct need for integrated global policy to address the three pillars of sustainability and facilitate transport development ‘…that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs…’ (WCED, 1987, p.54). It is not a surprise that technology has come to be as advanced as it is now but along with it, transportation has also evolved and continues to do so in the biggest way possible. From cars to boats to rockets, transportation is important for human beings to get around and it has advanced greatly with the help of scientists and regular people who chose to think bigger. Scientists are just beginning with these new inventions, so who knows what new transportation will come next.
