Do Plato and Sartre Coincide?

In Plato’s The Allegory of the Cave and Sartre’s Existentialism, one can follow two different ideals of philosophy on how a human should lead their life. Plato suggested there are two pursuits in the world- a life inside the cave and another outside the cave. When free and unbounded from the cave, a person can build perspective on the real outer world, and in the other hand the world inside the cave is bounded to human senses that are full of illusions created by many powerful forces like politics and society.
Plato theorized that a human can be enlighted on reality and morality only from education and exploration, which lies outside the cave. Plato’s pursuit on the subjective life is very true. It is agreeable that breaking boundaries is the only way to experience truth in our own unique perspectives. However, as the reading concludes there are many questions about Plato’s declaration of the world outside the cave.
