A decade ago, most immigrants who wanted to get in developed countries got injured trying to cross rivers and mountains. Most of them traveled in boats and got drowned away by water, others walked through underground tunnels. Many people have migrated to different countries and still are migrating. Four significant reasons that cause people to migrate are war, lack of education, poverty, and environmental factors. An important reason that cause people to migrate is political conflicts. Some people immigrate for higher degrees. For instance, an old friend of mine went to germany to get his graduate degree. Most people migrate to get their graduate degrees. People also migrate to other countries to go to better universities to get their degrees.
Another reason that cause people to immigrate is poverty. People face difficulties in poverty. “Remittances are a type of external income that is directly paid to households, and thereby can have a large impact on welfare for recipient families in countries still mired in poverty” (David N, Luis, El Mouhoub, and Joel). For example, when my family got welfare, they saved some money and send it to my cousins in iraq. They immigrate to get social services. Once immigrants get welfare and have enough money, they send some of the money to their families that are still living in poverty. Most poor people immigrate for high paying jobs. A significant amount of people are poor due to low wages. Poor people seek other countries for good work
