- coming into this program after being away from school for 7 years was a bit intimidating for me. I didn’t know what to expect or if I could really do it. Mastery helped ease all of that doubt and uncertainty that I was feeling.

The most important lesson I will take not only from this class but the entire program is the reason for my journey. I always loved doing hair, from the time I was a little girl I wanted to do my moms hair and my sisters hair, so after I grew up it has been hard for me to explain to people why I don’t want to own a salon or even work in one. Working with visual artist can be a bit challenging in this area because they like to draw what they see or feel. The main thing for me to keep in mind is credit…making sure to always give credit or get permission from the person whom photo is used at the time. Staying on top of my artist when it comes to copyright infringement will save us a lot of time and money in the long run.

Digital Marketing- Through this class I wanted to gain the tools necessary to put together a digital marketing plan for my company and also the importance of social media. I learned that and more. I did intense research on companies that I feel are the most competition for me. I was able to see how they interact with their customers on social media as well as their website and how much of a role social media is playing in the success of their business.

I was able to take away things I want to incorporate in my business marketing plan as well as things I will do differently. For example, I will do contest and giveaways for my customers on a monthly basis, I want people to feel connected to the artist. I will also pay attention to small details such as personalized thank you cards with each purchase. I feel that small gestures such as that will set us a part from our
