My first question to Dick Falet was does his leadership and management style focuses more on power or integration. According to Ashworth, efficiency and consistency are worth goals, but so are change and accommodation (Ashworth, 2001). He mentioned that this occurs every once in a while, but within his style of leadership there was never a stress about power. He always got involved with the employees, which create a level of trust between the employees and himself. My second question was did he find policies and things that went against his ethical values and the organizations mission and goals. Falet started working under the person who does the application for the Social Security Administration. He took the approach of learning from within the organization, and over time, he became a vital role in the central office. He stress the importance of keeping yourself surrounded with good people. He did all of his interviews up front, and he only hired level four people, in which there was only a short-term disadvantage to this approach. He mentioned that macro management does not work, and he had only lost one employee through his employment time with the company. He mentioned that it was that difficult because the new council had no problem with moving forward with this project. He highlighted that people should pushed for change, and have additional and reliable resources to provide a sense of security. In addition, that he proved that he could manage the money well, and this provide the trust from the council. My second question was does project manager and a city manager have similar roles of management. Mr. William mentioned that both have very similar duties, and the leadership style was the same.
