When I was younger, I was an avid concert goer. A lit up, crowded, and blaring concert hall was my favorite place to be. Before I had my license and could drive, I would beg my parents to give me and my friends a ride to any show we could find. We would search the internet up and down and high and low for venues near us hosting an artist. It was something we would do every other weekend, and we always looked forward to it. Every aspect of a concert hall, from the inside to the outside, would make it a crazy and insanely electrifying place to visit.

The air is hot and sticky. You end up covered in not only your own, but all of your neighbors sweat as well. It is also likely that you would feel the accidental punches and kicks of another human next to you. It is always hoped that these weren’t done purposely, but just because they are not paying attention. The room is filled with hundreds of people, typically strangers, standing side by side in a humongous crowd. The floor beneath the hundreds of people’s feet seemed to sway and shake with the beat of each song because of how hard everyone’s feet would hit the ground. You would be in amazement as you stared up at the performer as their body swayed and they put on what seemed to be the best performance of their life. The loud music and the sound of their bellowing and beautiful vocals would ring in your ears. The melodies that the vocalist and their back up singers would create would ring through the air and seem to caress your eardrums. You couldn’t think of any other time or place besides where you were right then in that moment if you wanted to. You could feel the excitement as if it was floating through the air like smoke.
