This project will use three songs from Steven Universe that will be used to describe the evolution of Steven and Connie’s relationship. The project will show how the two became met and became friends but shortly thereafter, there relationship changed once the two could fuse. Fusion is the amalgamation of two or more Gems, usually, but in Steven’s case since he is half human, he can fuse with other humans. Rebecca Sugar, the creator of the series, has described fusion as the ultimate bond between Gems. She also describes fusion as a relationship, and the characters that are fusing must be in perfect harmony. The goal of this project is to showcase the impact that fusion has had on Steven and Connie’s relationship, both in the formation of the relationship as well as hardships they have faced. …show more content…
In “The Jam Song,” Steven and Connie sing a cute, little song about eating a snack. “Something Entirely New” was originally written for Ruby and Sapphire, the Gems that fuse to make Garnet. This song describes how the two Gems do not understand their new relationship and fear where this relationship will take them. This song will be used to describe the feelings that Steven and Connie felt during the first few times they fused. The last song, “Love Like You,” is a solo piece that is featured in the end credits of a few of the shows. This song describes the point of view of one person in a romantic relationship. It shows that the people in the relationship do not understand why they love each other so much, but that is not the important part. Rather, the important part of the relationship is that they will always be there for each other no matter the
Anna and Ben realize that this short-term solution of starting a band only masks their issues and does not heal them. The conversations the two have on the more dramatic end of the spectrum are performed wonderfully. Trivial events in their lives are brought up, both pressing the narrative and emotional arc of this couple we’ve fallen in love with. The scenes are almost too real, which is one of the best compliments I can give to the actors involved.
Dr Herman Warsaw marries Mrs. McDonald’s sister Judy. The twins parents thought he was such a good guy because of all the lies that Aunt Judy had said about him. But as we learn, he’s actually a murdering psychopath. The twins parents finally found out at the end of the book all the bad things that he has done to the twins throughout the entire book series. Showing that he’s not the man they thought he was the parents finally see the true colors of Dr. Warsaw and realize that the twins had been telling them the truth about him the entire time. We also see that if you put your mind to it, you can do anything! Throughout the book series that the twins work together when placed in multiple dangerous situations to accomplish a single goal, SURVIVAL!. While fighting Dr. Warsaw on the the Golden Gate Bridge Coke uses his karate technique called the “inflictor” to kick Dr. Warsaw off the bridge while Pepsi uses a frisbee to knock the briefcase containing a nuclear bomb out of his hands. Together they save the thousands of people on the Golden Gate Bridge along with themselves from a nuclear
A theme that runs through this story is that music seems to be the bridge from the real world into Connie's fantasy world. She doesn't know what she wants, but it's got something to do with "the music that made everything so good." When Arnold Friend drove up the driveway, Connie was listening to music, "bathed in a glow of slow-pulsed joy." She soon discovered that he was playing the same music in his car. This is not a coincidence; I think it makes a connection in the back of Connie's mind. And, the story says that it seemed to Connie like Arnold "had come from nowhere," and "belonged nowhere," and that everything about him "was only half real."
I can personally relate this song to my past relationship with a guy of 2 years. We had many rough patches while we were together. There were things in the relationship that I can never erase; yet I feel as though I will never fully let him go. He's still trying so hard to get me back and I'm taking advantage of it. I get many mixed emotions about him and the thought of starting up the relationship again. The hardest part is that he's the only person I truly feel I can completely be myself around. Yet, I fear that it will start right back where it ended. All he wants to be is my giving tree and make me happy.
In essence, this song carries various sociological concepts. It concentrates on the main idea about the social construction of reality and talking about how reality is changing. The song questions the actions and mentally of individuals violating the norms and values of society. The band takes into consideration various factors of why it is happening including the media and religion. As a result they talk about such influences taking control building and developing a sense of self. This is a great song about present day problems and how society changes with them.
This poem is written from a wife to her husband saying that his love is everything she needs and there’s nothing in the world that she would trade it for, even for money. She expresses how much she values him and her feelings towards him.
Although the film plays out in non-linear progression and is somewhat confusing at times, the audience quickly catches on to the plot. Joel and Clementine are in a relationship for two years before finally deciding to break it off. Like most couples, the two shared a lot of good memories but the fights that lead to their breakup were too emotionally heavy for free-spirited Clementine to bear any more. She pays some futuristic company ...
The man feels abandoned in a corner and he drinks for the sadness he feels. While drinking, he tells himself I do not understand why you left me, if I know she loved me, so if you ever regret your decision he will be waiting for you. Basically, the man feels broken emotionally because the women he loved, left him for no reason. This song to me is not a dancing song, however the song is more about remembering your ex-wife, ex-girlfriend or ex husband and ex-boyfriend. For me personally, this song reminds me of drinking, the title literally means bitter shots of liquor. The way the song shares the hurt the man feels by the women that left him. I could almost picture a man sitting at a bar drinking to his ex saying, “I’m drinking because of you, you caused this”. I could picture that scene in my head because I have seen my friends in Mexico and my cousins in Mexico do
The song points out how even today it is hard to find love and happiness when there are still so many bad events happening. Another message is that we have to set aside our differences and work together. The discrimination and hate need to stop in order to fill the world with peace and unity. The tone of the piece is depressed, frantic,
CSNY is profoundly successful in conveying their message in the song by using the right lyrics and vocals accompanied by the tune of the guitars. “Helplessly Hoping” can be interpreted in so many ways that in either way it, nonetheless, will insinuate on the same thing, which is love. As they put it love is not lying, and it will always be around. Listening to the song can put one in an emotional roller-coaster that its theme can be known beforehand. This perplexed relationship describes the essence of love, and its implications. It reflects on how love can be capricious, which gives a sense of mystery. The harmony of the group in the song makes it one of my favorites, and puts it in my top list of love songs in all times.
From these scenes I saw the theme that relationships built of of honesty and trust create the most strong and long lasting relationships. I can see this because of the relationship that start rapidly building between Georgia, August, Maxon, and America. And you can see that this happens because of the openness that they have with each other. Then, you can see Maxon and America acknowledging that the issue with their relationship is trust, and they work to improve that to make their relationship strong and more long
The bond that they form as the two main characters in this story is truly riveting. They go through hell and back— and back again. They experience an uncountable number of round trips to hell, keeping the audience at their toes for the entire five seasons. Together they are unstoppable, dealing with other high ranked criminals, putting their life at the line, only to put their means to an end that they don't end up seeing for quite a
The evidence to support this statement would be the fact that this song expresses the feelings of the song writers regarding success. It also has a rhythm scheme like most lyrical poems. Since the song is a lyrical poem, it is easier to understand and interpret the song writers’ view point regarding success. The song also has many hyperboles to emphasize the meaning of the song.
“Lonely” is one of those songs you need when you just went though a break up. It 's the sad or negative part of love. He has so many emotions in this song like, regret, sadness, and compassion. I picked this song because I think it shows a great part of love, the part when you realize what you had but not that thing is gone. A lot of people take love for granted and don 't realize what other do for them until those people leave. It shows how selfish love can be at time’s. This is one of the worst things about love is having your heart broken into a million pieces. One of the most painful things I have ever experienced. The song is very popular though because
