What does it mean to be truly successful? Does it mean having a good job or lots of money? The answers to these questions are not the same for everyone. To one person, success may mean leading a lavish lifestyle. To another person, success could be pursuing a cheerful life. The definition of success itself is unique to each individual; it can be defined as achieving what was set out to be done, obtaining wealth or position, or attaining personal happiness. The act of completing a set task is considered by some to be a success. When a person has accomplished a goal that they’ve set for themselves, they can say that they were successful. In situations such as this one, the person in question has fulfilled their wishes. Furthermore, people determine for themselves when they have come to the desired result of their goals or aspirations. Success to one person may be arriving at a low level of achievement in their goals while to another it may be a higher level. It is up to each individual to decide what it means to reach success in terms of their goals and their lives. This is a straightforward approach to the meaning of success itself. When measuring someone’s success, people tend to base it on their fame and fortune. This has become a standard measurement in today's time. However, assessing success in this way is not necessarily something that comes naturally. Modern media has warped the public’s view of what a successful person is. People are exposed to pictures and videos of individuals who own an abundance of money and popularity on television and social media daily. The common people have come to see these famous people as the epitome of success itself; they are the highest standard in the eyes of the average person. It is not hard to believe that viewers in recent times have been brought up to define success as having both a high position in life and certain material
