The value of freedom is the ability to make individuals choices to decide one’s own value systems. As an individual there are three things I define has the value of freedom. Those three things are, forced into an arranged marriage, achieving the desired level of education and pursuing the most satisfying career. The value of freedom is not knowing how it feels to be forced into an arranged marriage. It is to seek the desired level education and to pursue the most fulfilling career. Has individuals we seek for better goods for ourselves because we have the freedom to do so. Individuals have the freedom to form a better knowledge and have better fulfilling careers in life. Has a former high school student I had the freedom of choice to choose to either attend college or not. I had the freedom to choose which college I think would be fit for me. I had the freedom to choose my major even though my parents thought it would be nice to suggest the best career for myself but I had the freedom to not listening to them and to choose what I wanted as the career in my life. When I was in high school my mom and dad always told me to be a doctor and go to the best colleges of North Carolina like NC states. I always thought I would be a doctor and attend NC states universities because that’s what my parents told me to do and they know what's best for me. During senior year when it was time to apply for colleges I started changing my mind I decided to apply to wake tech and become a nurse traveler because I wanted to travel and help those in need and in order for me to achieve that goal I need to attend the college that's best for my major and get the education needed. When I told my parents they weren't mad but they weren't okay with it either because I wasn't doing what they told me to do but since I am my own person I have the freedom to expand my knowledge because I choose to and I get the freedom to choose how I wants my life to be I chose to attend wake tech and get my associate as nurse and transfer. I am living a life of my choice, on my own terms in order to be fulfilling at peace. I will be doing what I am passionate
Throughout history, Americans have sought to spread the spirit of equality, which is believed to be the realization of true freedom. Before establishing this freedom, every American had only one question stuck in their head: What is freedom? Our country received it in the year of 1776 from the British through a series of difficulties and wars. African Americans defined it as an escape from slavery, while immigrants defined it as their acceptance into a new society. More yet, women of the women’s suffrage defined their freedom as their recognition into society and for their rights to be equal to that of every other man. These different perceptions of cultures/groups in America tied together to form an American view of freedom. Freedom is something that every American should be willing to do anything in order to maintain. We may have weapons of mass destruction, but when it comes to living in a peaceful, American lifestyle, our freedom is our greatest weapon.
According to the Collins Dictionary, “freedom” is defined as “the state of being allowed to do what you want to do”(“freedom”). The definition of freedom is simple, but make yourself free is not easy. Concerning about some common cases which will take away your freedom, such as a time-cost high education attainment. In this essay, I shall persuade that everyone should try his or her best to insist on pursuing freedom. For the individual, it appears that only if you have your personal freedom, can you have a dream; for a country, it seems that only if the country is free, can the country develop; for mankind, it looks like that only if people has their own pursuit of freedom, can their thoughts evolve.
God has given us as human beings free will. Although if we make choices based on our own free will we must be willing to take the responsibility for the effects that our decisions have on ourselves, on the people around us, and on society itself. Freedom, I believe, is the way in which people live or behave without others annoying or interfering in his or her affairs. People should benefit from freedom, equality and justice. Absolute freedom is sometimes very dangerous and may destroy the basic principles of the society. A lot of people believe that freedom means doing whatever you want, whenever you want.
It all started in high school, as a person, I was far from being responsible. School was just a place to meet friends, spent most of my time playing around, and never thought about the future. But gradually, my parents were getting worried about me. One night, I was in my room when they called, and asked me to go to the living room. I looked at their faces and I knew that we were going to have a serious conversation, and I was right. They tried to give me an advice, an advice on how time flies and I never had the ability to turn it back. That life was about making the right decision, and there were options and opportunities presented to me. Whether they were good or bad, I need to think of what was best for me and made a decision on which options or opportunities I would take, so I had not regretted my decision later on in my life. When I heard this, I realized that all this time, I had been wasting time playing around and I need to think about the future. For a couple of days, I was weighing my option left and right about what to do after graduated. Should I go straight to...
Freedom is the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint. In America there is numerous of choices that someone may make on a daily basis. If someone were allowed to make their own choices and were being told what to do; then they would not be free. When someone is allowed to speak when they want to, and say what they want; such as their opinion or view of something. Being allowed to have a right to speak is one of the most important characteristics of being an American. Thinking and stating your opinion in any predicament it a strong part in being a citizen because people in the United States are known for being able to think in their own ways. Freedom can stretch too many things such as being able to do as they please, they are not forced into doing anything that someone may want. The citizens of the United States are not made to do anything that one may not want to do; like
We have a lot of freedom and rights in America that sometimes take for granted. I think that these are just a few of the important rights that we have in America. Freedom of speech, free education, and freedom of religion are three of the greatest things that Americans have and could sometimes take for granted if we are not careful.
Freedom is having the right to own, act, think, and speak without any restrictions from the outside. Ever since the New World was discovered, people have been fighting for their independence till this day. People of other colors and race have been forced to do labor without their consent. Today, those same people have been blamed or accused of crimes that were not committed by them despite of being free. Freedom has different meanings and those meanings change overtime; however sometimes the significance of freedom does not change.
Freedom is often spoken of in what can be referred to as a loose sense of the word. One country has more freedom than another; a twenty-one year old has more freedom than a fifteen year old. What exactly does this word mean? For different people it may mean different things, but there has to be an equilibrium that can be reached in order to determine the meaning of freedom itself. In one form, freedom can mean that a person has "exemption from an obligation."* If only the root (free) is looked at, it can be interpreted that one is "not under the control or power of another."*
So freedom is indeed valuable. Not many argues against the nonindependent value of freedom, since there are a lot of values for which freedom is essential. In my view, freedom is independently also valuable, because we might not know exactly what good is it going to do for us, but
The definition or meaning for this freedom is freedom of choice. All individuals are given the opportunity to make his/her own decision in order to achieve goals for successful purposes and get over the difficult outcomes while pursuing the American Dream. An example, would be an individual who chooses a career for themselves and decides which classes he needs to take to receive credit for future career advances. Although, the constitution allows making significant choices for the outcomes of ones future, there is a clear line between legal and illegal actions that can be appropriate. The laws of the United States as other countries prohibit inappropriate words in public, killing, fraud, and etc.
When referring to freedom these words are often associated with freedom: Liberty, independence, sovereignty, autonomy, privilege, immunity, and indulgence. Everyone has the right to life, liberty, and justice. Independence is granted by freedom in the sense that an outside party does not control you. To gratify ones desires by whichever ways they choose is freedom through indulgence. Privileges are g ranted through freedom. In some countries the dictator or ruler makes choices for their people on regards to what profession they shall have or to what religion they shall worship. In the United States we have special privileges that let the people of the country decide on their own religion and professions.
Many years ago I remember my parents telling me that in order for me to become successful a college education was a must. They always told me that if I wasn’t in school I could no longer live at home. Both of my parents attended college but neither of them finished. They did not want me to go down that same road because they really regret not getting their degrees.
For me, freedom implies thinking for yourself, being inventive, practicing freewill, having experiences, taking journeys, being able to make something and abandon it, to act suddenly, settling on your own decisions, cherishing whom you need to cherish, talking with and cooperating with whomever you like, providing for whomever or whatever you like, being able to extend your insight and energies,
"Freedom is never given; it is won"- A. Philip Randolph. Freedom is something that must be regained in every generation. It must not be taken for granted. Freedom is the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint. Humans' most valued right is freedom.
Personal freedom is a feeling that individuals search for all their life. The autonomy to choose how we live our own lives is one that others will judge regardless if it’s traditional or unconventional. Judgement from others doesn’t stop due to race, gender, and skin-color we as people have to use are autonomy the best of our ability. There are many times when you are away from certain people you are much more confident, assertive and a strong individual. Nevertheless, once you are around another individual you become meek, submissive, and wanting to please the individual.
