Most people don't experience happiness often so they don't know what exactly makes them happy, but for those who are always sad i'm pretty sure they would have a reason for why they're sad that's just how the human brain works. We hold on to grudges and that thin thread of sadness whenever we are hit with something that causes those emotions. That's why when we are actually finally happy it's like a euphoric feeling, it's something we don't feel often that it's almost strange to
Happiness is scientifically proven to infact be a real and natural feeling produced by the body, but it is up to your brain to make you feel. When you are in a pleasing situation, your brain responds to the pleasing stimuli and releases endorphins that spread through your body making you feel good. We just call this feeling happiness. In America today we associate happiness with the bigger picture such as how successful you are or how many friends you have. In reality happiness is nothing
You may or may not have noticed this before, but when one observes the fact that they are happy, the feeling is instantly gone. "Ask yourself whether you are happy, and you cease to be so," (Brink) Mill says. This self questioning of our own happiness often only gives us a sense of despair, and this is because simply asking this question is a type of insecurity. It is a norm in society to be as happy as everyone else, so although the people around us may seek to help us out, they are laying on more pressure. If we were all to ignore the subject of happiness, us as a whole society could become a much happier society.

Happiness is a characteristic meant to be felt during an exhilaration brought by an event, but is not meant to be felt always. Joy is often confused as Happy because society thinks that when a feeling of hope or optimistic vision is felt, that an event must have caused this occurrence, however Joy is beyond an experience, and is an ever-dwelling knowledge that travels beyond feeling.
Ultimately being happy is not as great as it is talked up to be. Having too much happiness is not good. Being too happiness can cause us to miss the true value of happiness, only focus on ourselves, and it can cause us to be less alert to threats and dangerous situations around us. Being happy is a good thing but like all good things there are also some
Individuals try to find happiness, but like water or air, it is hard to clench in your hands. As defined in Merriam-Webster (2014), happiness is a state of well-being and contentment. However, happiness is hard to achieve, but it can be as simple as being contented, doing what you love, and living who you really are. Furthermore, everyone asks how one would know that they have it already.
highest levels of happiness. According to Claudia Wallis’ article, “A New Science of Happiness,” “Our overall happiness is not merely the sum of our happy moments minus the sum of our angry or sad ones” (3). Happiness may just be how satisfied someone is with their life, but it is impossible to be satisfied every second of every day. No one enjoys being in gloomy mood, but being sorrowful has its benefits. Although many people believe they need to be happy 100% of the time, experiencing negative emotions can have a positive outcome because they provide inspiration for innovative thinking, and are healthy even though they can sometimes
Everyone wants to be “happy”. We set out on journeys that often lead to a temporary pleasure. “In Pursuit of Unhappiness,” written by Darrin M. McMahon, McMahon explains to the readers how people pursue happiness. According to Huffington Post, just one in three Americans are “happy”. A ratio that should be far closer, considering that it hasn’t changed in over fifty years.
Pursuit of Unhappiness Happiness has never been a difficult thing to understand. Unlike other feelings such as anger and love that need a build up, when you’re happy, it’s automatic. Nobody ever sits there laughing and having an engaging conversation with a friend, thinking is this happiness? Because we as human beings know when we are happy.
I personally believe that real happiness not the 3 second happiness that fades away, it has anything to do with our possessions, our environment, or even our health; it comes from being happy with your life and expecting who you are and what you have in life.
In contrast, other people can find happiness in the simplest things. However, remember that happiness is in our hands. Just keep seeking it and we will be happy.
What does it mean to be happy? Happiness is a sensation that people want to have, and a lot of it. Above all else in the world, it’s what we seek and long for. Though this feeling can be found in many different places and at many different times, it isn’t easy to acquire. For some people, happiness might be found in exercise and sustaining good health. On the other hand, others can discover it when they go on vacation and relax. The idea here is that we each have our own things that make us happy.
Happiness, what is it, and why do we strive to achieve it so persistently? Happiness in some points of view is portrayed as the state that is derived from self-awareness of a benefiting action or moment taking place. What of the moments that are not beneficial? Can a person still find moments of happiness and success in discord, a little glimmer of light shining from the deep recesses of our own consciousness? Plucking it from a mere moment, achieved from money, or is it so much more, happiness is the precipice that all strive to gain to better perceive their success. As a person lives, they are in a constant struggle to be happy. For instance, even the United States Constitution makes reference to the idea that every person has the inalienable right to pursue happiness. This was the resulting outcome of the enlightenment from France, spilling out into the rest of the world from 1650 through 1800. This revolutionized the idea that every single person has the inalienable right to happiness or in different views the right to succeed. As to how one peruses or conjures their happiness that is an entirely different concept and completely up to their preferred preference, but it is something that a person needs to find on their own for true success.
Happiness is a state of mind. The dictionary definition is "feelings of joy and pleasure mingled together”. A feeling of happiness is more than just an experience of joy or pleasure. It is a state of mind where the individual feels that “life is good”. As Aristotle says, “happiness is the meaning and the purpose of life, the whole aim and end of human existence.” I believe that everyone wants to be happy in life. One is abnormal if he prefers to be sad and alone.
Not many people in the world today express happiness, we always hear about the bad and despair in the world around us. I try to stay happy and positive as much as I can, because I think happiness can be spread through the littlest things in life. In a world today where all you hear about is the bad going on around you, having something to hold onto and give you hope can change the outlook of that situation. I try to live all of my days by being positive and happy,
