Every person's mindset revolves around one factor that determines how they want to live life going on forward, which is happiness. Happiness is simply the state of satisfaction within, whether it focuses on showing pleasure and contentment or having a lively and confident outlook on the world. However, as straightforward as it sounds, an innumerable amount of people regularly struggle to find happiness daily, and it begins to feel so forced that unhealthy habits of constant persuasion occurs. Furthermore, happiness is simply not a goal, but the result of a life well-lived. Therefore, how can one flood in euphoria and dive into a newfound world of bliss? A person’s well-being is determined by the people that they choose to be around. Moreover, “some of the people we deal with on a daily basis are a joy to be with, and their loving presence nurtures and encourages us, others may have the opposite effect, draining us of our energy, making us feel tired and exhausted” (People with Potential). When surrounded by positivity, the negativity clears away to make enough room for the renewed and improved energy. Therefore, to become one step closer to achieve happiness, one must assess the people that they spend the most of time with. This will become a tool to determine whether they truly add a constructive factor to their life, or subtract the certainty that they had in themselves. After assessing, if one begins to notice that their companion drains away their strength and energy, it can be fully resolved to begin to spend less time with them. Without a doubt, this step is the most difficult to attain, because it involves self-appreciation and respect. However, it can be accomplished by being yourself, loving yourself, and not taking life too seriously. To advance to the last step, one has to learn to be themselves, without changing to make others happy. Therefore, “choose to be the real you - the very best you that you can be… make the choices that feel comfortable to you” (Huie), and never become a fraud to impress others. Secondly, loving yourself is an ultimate component of owning yourself. Let the emotion of self-love follow the way you treat yourself, by pampering yourself, finding opportunities to relax, and avoiding stressful situations. Lastly, life should not be taken seriously! One might find themselves a lot more lovable if life is taken less sincerely.
