Britain turned to the colonies to pay off their debts by taxing them. The taxes angered the colonists because they believed it violated their rights. Benjamin Franklin had initially proposed the Albany plan of Union to unite the colonies, however this law was rejected by all of the colonial governments. It wasn't until after all of the British laws and taxes that the colonies would unite and write the Declaration of Independence.
During the 1700’s the Britain Colonist decided to declare war against Great Britain. The war began due to friction between the British colonists over the King's policies. The colonist eventually lost their patience and started a revolution. High taxes, and no religious freedom led the colonist to fight for self government.
A quesadilla can be an easy and low costing college meal. Ingredients needed to make are two tortillas, corn, tomato, shredded cheese and refried beans. First, take two tortillas out of the package and butter thoroughly. Next, grill the tortillas on the George Foreman grill. This will make the tortillas crispy. After you’re done grilling put on toppings of corn, tomato and cheese onto a tortilla. Then, put the other tortilla on top of the toppings and put the quesadilla back onto the grill. Finally, take the quesadilla off the grill and put refried beans on the side. Sprinkling cheese on top of the refried beans will make a delicious dip. They were mainly lured into the excessive trade in gold, spices and other goods without knowing about slaves in Africa. Nonetheless, Europeans had no success of taking over these African states to achieve all of these goods but later they did take over various regions in other areas. Africans seems to be willing to sell as many as 11 million people to the Atlantic slave trade to the Europeans. Thus, this makes them the first people to have slaves not the Europeans that forced them into this trade. Furthermore, at the start the Africans seems to have full control of the slave trade, but the Europeans came in and slowly dominated the trade without the Africans knowing. Later on, the trade was overturned and everything went back orderly.

However, it hasn’t been effective. Every day, more and more human rights violations happen. The problem is escalating. People, including children, are still being forced to work to death, innocent civilians are still suffering the consequences of war, and families are struggling to stay firm together. Despite the efforts from the people, IGOs, and NGOs, In the year 2100, human rights abuse will not end.

A simple college English class or a department in a hospital are examples of a discourse community. One might not even know it. A discourse community is group, club, organization, etc. that share common values and goals and communicates using some form of writing. An English class is a perfect example of a discourse community because the students and professor communicate in and out of class using writing, they share common goals, values, specialized language and certain types of a genre. Unlike an English class, I want to be a registered nurse and work at a hospital someday. My plan was to interview a nursing student at the University of Texas at El Paso and observe a nursing class. I was unable to complete the interview and observation so I went to my plan B. I ended up observing a restaurant because if I’m not able to become a nurse I’d one day want to own my own restaurant.
This part of the statement is too absolute. Silence can be beneficial. There needs to be active movements against evils. Martin Luther King Jr. was not known for his silence. This statement says it is better sit in silence than to attack the evils of the world. By speaking out things can happen. It is better to be known in your lifetime than to be like Emily Dickinson and have all your works published posthumously. The benefits of speaking outweigh anything. It may be true that actions speak louder than words, but the action requires communication. Communication is the base of any action even in a revenge plot. In the novel, the count had to establish himself in the aristocratic community in Paris before he could enact his revenge plot of tearing people apart from the inside out. Though there can be excess talking leading to useless rambling, it is better to communicate to solve the evils of the world than to sit in silence.
One thing that you can take away from this quote is that people often search for the bad in one another. Often we are too quick to judge other people, and it normally starts when you first meet them. You begin to make opinions about them based on what they wear, how they look, and who they’re with; you start to compare yourself to them and point out all of their flaws rather than recognizing the desirable traits they portray. Just as Lee said, you see what you look for, so naturally, you would be able to find plenty of quirks in everyone that you meet, causing you to dwell on their negative characteristics. This shows that if you are always sitting back and waiting to find that one thing about someone the is wrong, more often than not, you will find it.
