David Allen Coe Throughout the history of country singers they’re has been many of them. It started out being a song about a lady going to the dances. Then it went to singing about their life’s and how they grew up. Now Todays County is about noting really, it’s about drinking and getting drunk and a bunch of non-sense. David Allen Coe was one of those good singers that sang about how he grew up. David Allen Coe is a singer that I would swap for a day. He was born in Akron, OH. His first encounter with the law was at age nine. He went to reform school for 20 years. Growing up was hard for him, his sister was always getting in trouble, his dad was always yelling at mom to chop up more tobacco. Some nights his dad would get drunk and start swinging at people who said the wrong thing to him. When David got older and started doing music, he was on of the lowest singers of all, because of how rugged he was and his life past. When they figured out how good his voice was he moved to Nashville Tennessee. That’s when he started righting songs and becoming famous. …show more content…

I chose him because I thought it would be cool to be a singer for a day and live their life. David Allen Coe is one of the greatest country singers. He had a rough life growing up and if I could swap with him I would be able to learn more about his life. My grandchildren would also get to know him from me. I would tell them everything I did and why I did it. The things I would do would be a lot of things. I would probably see what he does if he sits at home or at the studio all
