Secondary research was conducted in addition to a survey that was sent to employees of Dairy Queen. A questionnaire survey was conducted to learn about what employees at Dairy Queen are looking for at their jobs. Of the surveys sent out, only seven replied. The conclusion that Dairy Queen Managers need to show more appreciation to their employees is based on the response that were received from the survey. Analysis of the data revealed three ways to improve employee appreciation: • Raises. Only one of the employees that responded to the survey has ever gotten a raise. Other employees, myself included, have never gotten a raise. • Holiday Bonuses. It is understood that Dairy Queen is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas, but employees agree that bonuses on other holidays, such as Easter, Memorial Day, Etc., would be appreciated. • Rewards for hard work. When inspections are just around the corner and the employees are doing everything they can to make the restaurant pristine, it would be appreciated if they could be rewarded for that hard …show more content…

Employees provide their services to the businesses that they work for in order to make the business better. This deserves appreciation from not only the managers of the business but also the owners of the business. To show appreciation to the employees and in turn motivate them to work even harder, businesses should provide extra benefits to the employees.
