In today’s society that we live in we face multicultural. Even though we live in America. We live around people of different race, culture, religion and so on. Some of the multicultural speak English and some don’t. Some have the same religion and some don’t. We even live near some who are same in race but speaks different languages. I think it is very interesting learning about other cultures. People of different race sometimes get treated different in America. People of a different culture may work the same job as Americans and get paid less money and respect. It’s not fair at all but they seem to milk the cow and the situations as if nothing is happening (Zeugma). People of America can be biased at times but that is the world we live in. At school, we are as one even though we have people of different culture attending, we all get the same education. We can go up town if we wanted to and order food from a Jamaican restaurant. My favorite Jamaican dish is oxtails. I also love when my mom cooks and ask do I wasn’t a piece of her Italian Danish (metonymy). I often wonder that if I visit another culture, what kind of American food I will find. I can almost be that rice will be served. I think it is amazing that we do not have to be in another culture just to experience food of different cultures. Living in America, we have may have different beliefs than people of other cultures. An example would be that we Americans believe in letting our married couples choose who they want to marry and on the other hand, people of other cultures may have their spouse chosen for them. Wedding differ from culture to culture. In America, we have a traditional wedding and in another culture some may jump the broom.
