The chosen articles is about research on bipolar disorder. The essay will also critique and identify evidence based practice issue and personal rationale reason for selecting the practice based issue. The essay will critique the articles using the Holland & Rees: Nursing evidence based practice framework to critique article research and the reason for choosing the model. The search strategies used in finding and selecting the research articles will be explain in details which enable to provide a practice evidence based research articles. The easy will also be reflecting on the article research topic which will be explained using the Rolfe, Jasper and Freshwater (2001) reflective model.

Barker (2004) suggested that mental illness like bipolar disorder as more to do with genes rather than upbringing.

Importance of evidence based practice
(Sackett, Rosenberg, Gray, Haynes and Richardson, 1996) suggested that evidence based practice give the rationale of been able to be conscientious, and use of current best evidence in making decisions about the care of individual patients. The practice of evidence –based medicine means individual clinical expertise with the best external clinical evidence from systematic research.
Using evidence based practise allow health professional and nurse to be well informed and be able to provide up to date care for their patient which will help to improve quality of care given to patent . Evidence based can be say to enhance health professional knowledge. These influences how nurses and health professionals in making clinical decision with evidence based practice through research.

Reflection model
Bulman & Schutz (2008) suggested that reflection is the examination of our own thinking and our action which enable us as a professional to understand our strength and weakness which give us the advantage to be able to on build our strength and reduced and weakness in future actions . he also said reflection help to influence nursing practice by making sense of experience in order to influence future practise.
Reflection help nurses to be well informed in their practice and also help them improved their knowledge for their practice in future.
Rolfe, Jasper & Freshwater (2001) reflective model will be used, these reflective model consist of three component which are; what, so what and now what. What (describing situation) such as feeling about what happen, what difficulties was encountered. So what (evaluation and analysing) help to reflect on what be done well, what need to be improve. Now what, this component help to reflect on how to improve when face with the difficult situation from what, and how to maintain skill that already
