The Glowing Coin
Summary: The world she once knew has ended.
She gasped as she woke up, breathing hard. A nightmare, she thinks as she tries to calm herself down and breathe slower. She checks her surroundings and reminds herself that she is safe. She is at home. Her parents are in the other room. Her other sibling is sleeping in a different, nearby room.
She gets up and pulls her white blanket that was given by her ex-boyfriend off her. She puts on her Pikachu slippers, turns on the light, and heads out the hallway to the kitchen in a careful manner in order to not wake her family members. She grabs a cup from the cupboards, opens the fridge, and pours herself orange juice. She puts things away as she drags her feet to the dining table

There was light during the day. She tries looking around but doesn't see another glowing coin. She heads home.
The thread she replied to now had 20 pages. She starts scrolling down and reading the replies. The messages were about people finding a coin, people not finding coins and thinking the others are crazy, and people's personal theories about why the coins appeared. And then she noticed a glowing red envelope icon. Someone sent her a message. She clicks on it. It's Swordmaster89.
"Hi Pillow01. Something strange is happening," writes Swordmaster89, "I think we should keep in touch, the original 4 of us. My phone number is ###-###. Send me a message and I'll add you to our Whatsapp group. Cherryblossoms24 and Airplanelover00 are also in the group."
Abigail used her phone and sent Swordmaster89 a message indicating she was Pillow01. He added her to the group.
"I found something," Swordmaster89 writes, "Did you find it too?"
"Yes," writes Airplanelover00, "There is a strange tattoo that appeared on the palm of my hand."
"Touch it. Stuff appears. It's freaky." writes Swordmaster89.
Abigail inspects her body and notices a strange mark on her left elbow. She touches it and shockingly she is in another
middle of paper ... ... As I reached to pull the covers back over myself, I heard something brush against paper, and metal rings pressed into my arm. Cautiously reaching with my hand, I pulled out a notebook, open to the first page, with a pen slipped in the spiral ring. On the page was written the following: “Thought you might need these!
The day started with clear blue skies and not a cloud in the sight. The only noise that you could hear was a concert given by the nearby crickets, and a lonely bull frog singing nearby in unison. As the evening passes on a sharp snoring noise can be heard muffled softly.
THE PAST :.. In days gone by, the four species managed to live in perfect harmony. Witches, werewolves and vampires lived in secret, blending in with the humans on a daily basis - and the humans remained completely in the dark about their existence. It was after thousands of years of living this way, whilst everything was completely normal, that a small group of vampires decided that they’d had enough. They spent months devising plans.
Although there were many other things to worry about as I transported my flock, my mind still drifted to the merchant's daughter. The dark night sky gave my memory time to fade into familiar sounds and colors that made my recollection of that day clear and vivid.
The Creature That Opened My Eyes Sympathy, anger, hate, and empathy, these are just a few of the emotions that came over me while getting to know and trying to understand the creature created by victor frankenstein in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. For the first time I became completely enthralled in a novel and learned to appreciate literature not only for the great stories they tell but also for the affect it could have on someones life as cliché as that might sound, if that weren’t enough it also gave me a greater appreciation and understanding of the idiom “never judge a book by its cover.” As a pimply faced, insecure, loner, and at most times self absorbed sophomore in high school I was never one to put anytime or focus when it came time
She opens the window and the sound of exploding firecrackers outsides become louder. She comes out of the bathroom, takes the stick of incense to the shrine on a high shelf. (p.106)
She starts to imagine crazy things, like women trapped inside the horrid yellow wallpaper. She tries to help her
I didn’t know what happened, but worse, I didn’t know what was happening. The sounds of footsteps neared my body, but I was too hurt to react.
It was a dark, cold, cloudy day. The clouds covered the sky like a big black sheet, nothing to be seen except darkness that seemed to go on forever. This was the third day in a row that there had been complete darkness, there was no getting rid of it. This was because of ‘the meteorite.’
Then a voice called from the room that had just been given a new door.
It began alit. A spark and twirl of chaotic red and sun yellow and a core of blue tinted wrath. An ember was born, born full of anger and violence. Blurred and not knowing what's going on it flew toward the invading party. Then a sense of ‘ halt, go up and attack.’
As the sun slowly settled, darkness began to overcome the Earth. Sickness—had come. The sickness slowly but readily crept into each home. It was the Midnight Theft. The destructive plague stole during midnight—it stole lives. Deep in the heart of Tukenasville, people were dying, and the whole country was beginning to perish. The flowers withered as they bloomed. The mountain peaks crumbled under steer weight. Animals fled to holes to live out the final moments of their life. People were distraught, and chaos was invading every planet in the macrocosm. People called me Nikolaou Gonfalon. I was the last of the Warriors of Phos. Long ago, the Sisters of Moiré ordained my doomed fate. I tried to bargain with them to change it, but in the end, I captured them and locked them up in a repository on a cliff. I was to lead the expedition to find the cure for the Midnight Theft. That, however, was not the reason why I would go on this journey. My best friend, Tolem, was dying of a rare illness called Takigifeay. It was causing the slow built up of lactic acid on his bones. I knew that death would come to him soon. Legend spoke about a necklace that can bring life to anyone or thing. It was said to have been belonged to an Oceanian, one of the water people. The Lost Jade Necklace of Serenity was what it was called, and it could bring healing to the Earth. Nonetheless, it could be the obliteration of mankind, also. I began to pack since my journey was to start at that moment.
As I wake up strapped to a thing of wood in the pitch black dark wondering what is happening and what to do to get out of it. I hear some strange sounds coming from right by my hands. It’s a bunch of rats trying to eat the food my captures left me before they kill me. I hurry, in instinct to grab the food and start to eat it. As i'm eating this small piece of food I hear and see a pendulum swinging above me lowering every time it goes back and forth.
What is rap music? To some people it’s a way to release what they’re feeling in a healthy manner, but for others it’s obscene, violent, and against women. Some people like rap because it’s poetic. For others it’s about the beat and the tempo of the music. For me it’s a healthy manner to release my feelings and feel connected to the artists.
Once they find a cab passing by in the distance they head home. At the door of their house, she sadly climbs homeward thinking that all has ended for her. Once inside she uncovers her shoulders to see herself once more in all her glory. “She suddenly utters a cry because the necklace is no longer around her neck.” She checks the folds of the cloak, the folds of her dress, everywhere only to end up with nothing.
