It began alit. A spark and twirl of chaotic red and sun yellow and a core of blue tinted wrath. An ember was born, born full of anger and violence. Blurred and not knowing what's going on it flew toward the invading party. Then a sense of ‘ halt, go up and attack.’ The ember did not think this it was willed it, it followed.
It raised and flew like a baseball over the cavern floor towards the bipedal heathens. On its way there it sensed its just born brothers and sisters rush the sides of the invading party. It was the only one attacking above. With a tiny napalm splash it landed on the person in the back’s face while the other 3 tried to help or fend off the waves of other embers. THE ember though was exhilarated to cook this unsuspecting

Narration - Embers
Embers are one of the many mana formed entities born in dungeons. Since their fuel off of ambient mana their might and life is dependant on their surroundings. Every flame needs something to burn. Also keep in mind in some environments they have a smidgen of power, this puts them in an area known as ‘ Royal Trash Mobs. ’ Why ? Because of their kill potential vs fortitude. How can you fear something you can literally stomp out ? Why can this flame bug the size of half my head burn faces ? Both valid question and very true questions in regards to Royal Trash Mobs. But another reason to stomp out this bug is their potential…

Overall, fire representation is not one of destruction but one of knowledge, thinking, new insight, and acknowledgment.
“I say-I say- God is dead! ... A Fire, a fire is burning. I hear the boot of Lucifer, I see his filthy face! And it is my face, and yours, Danforth! For them that quail to bring men out of,...
THE PAST :.. In days gone by, the four species managed to live in perfect harmony. Witches, werewolves and vampires lived in secret, blending in with the humans on a daily basis - and the humans remained completely in the dark about their existence. It was after thousands of years of living this way, whilst everything was completely normal, that a small group of vampires decided that they’d had enough. They spent months devising plans.
With only the moon and stars to guide her, she picked her way down to the trucks, where a few embers of the fire remained. She could hear something that sounded like wind On the ground were unidentifiable lumps that seemed to be moving in the nonexistent breeze. On the front of one of the looming vehicles was a blood stain. Emmaline crept toward it. On her way there she accidentally stepped on one of the lumps and heard a man-like squawk. She looked down and saw two eyes glistening in the moonlight and an open mouth still. She slowly turned around in a circle. The lumps that Emmaline had assumed to be tree stumps earlier were now rising from the ground and shouting. Fear was welling up inside Emmaline but she told herself to stay brave for Edgar’s sake and she let out a deafening battle cry and charged at the nearest man. He ran towards the blood-stained truck and jumped up into the cab, Emmaline close behind. The soldier shut the door in Emmaline’s face and she turned around. The other men were all packing up as fast as they could. Emmaline stayed until every truck had left, watching silently with an evil glare. Then she raced back up the hill to join her Father and
Then without the slightest clue of danger a ball of flame shot straight by him, so close he could feel the hairs on his face singe with the passing ball of flame. He knew this was a time for action. He ran as fast as he could towards the route the flames had come from.
Lina’s grandmother becomes sick and dies. Lina moves in with her neighbor, Mrs. Mudro. Lina and Doon begin to put the pieces of the paper back together, and discover that there are some supplies, such as canned peaches, creamed corn, etc, that are still left.(those supplies were believed to be gone). They figure out that the mayor has been stealing food, and report him. They go down to the pipeworks, and find the entrance to the place where they escape, finding matches, boats, and instructions. However, when they come back to tell everybody, the mayor has considered them fugitives, and Lina is arrested. She is brought to the mayor, but escapes due to a power outage. Doon and Lina light a lamp with the match, and escape in a boat via the pipeworks. When the reach the end of the pipeworks, they discover that Ember has been built underground and find a diary of the first inhabitants of Ember. They go above ground and discover a forest. They then tie a letter containing the instructions to escape Ember to a rock and throw it down back to Ember. Meanwhile, Mrs. Murdo finds the rock,
The Creature That Opened My Eyes Sympathy, anger, hate, and empathy, these are just a few of the emotions that came over me while getting to know and trying to understand the creature created by victor frankenstein in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. For the first time I became completely enthralled in a novel and learned to appreciate literature not only for the great stories they tell but also for the affect it could have on someones life as cliché as that might sound, if that weren’t enough it also gave me a greater appreciation and understanding of the idiom “never judge a book by its cover.” As a pimply faced, insecure, loner, and at most times self absorbed sophomore in high school I was never one to put anytime or focus when it came time
Burns occur at an alarming rate. In the United States alone, an estimated two million people suffer from burns each year, and of those two million burn victims, about 500,000 people seek treatment for the burns and 40,000 people are hospitalized (“Facts,” n.d.). Most burn injuries happen at work or at home, with about 40% of all burns happening at home (“First,” 2011). Burn injuries cause about 300,000 serious injuries each year, and are attributed to the cause of approximately 6,000 deaths each year, making burns America’s third largest cause of accidental death (“Facts,” n.d.).

Fire is essential for the novel, also. It’s one of the discoveries of the monster. He notices that if he gets closer to the fire, it burns him; if he goes far away, it does not warm him. So, no more no less, he experiences the fire. As it is mentioned: “You can let it warm you, but don’t let it burn you.”
People are moving at a faster pace through life then ever before. In our technological centered world more work is expected in less time causing people to become over-caffeinated and hyper-connected 24/7. This is where museums can and should step in and give people a space to breathe. However, there in lies the big question. How do museums remain worthwhile to their visitors when all the worlds’ knowledge is at their fingertips?
It was a dark, cold, cloudy day. The clouds covered the sky like a big black sheet, nothing to be seen except darkness that seemed to go on forever. This was the third day in a row that there had been complete darkness, there was no getting rid of it. This was because of ‘the meteorite.’
...ecome frightened of her own fate. Overwhelmed with despair she ripped herself open and her blood spilled onto the Earth, filling the deep crevices with pools of Water, creating streams and lakes to nature the world. Ire, seeing what had become of his kind, surrendered much like the Creatures and promised the Women that if he be spared he’d live only to serve the needs of Humans. The Women then searched for Aer for days, all across Earth and the Universe. However, Aer was a trickster and evaporated into the Air, forever changing shapes so that the Humans could never fully catch them.
Habits of the Creative Minds is a simple textbook with a particular twist. I began reading the book thinking it was going to be a basic textbook, but the author,Richard E. Miller and Ann Jurecic, changed the tone of the book and put it into a metaphor. This metaphor was about the reader in your writing, or for anyone reading should feel like Alice in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. The reader should be reading, and figuratively fall into the reading, by this the authors means the reader should not want to put that book down. They should be engulfed in the book and read from cover to cover. The attention must be maintained and the best way to do this is by making the writing unique. The authors of this book puts
There was what appeared to be a scramble and a rush rather than any regulated movement. The hill side was alive with clatter and motion; with sudden up-springing lights among the pines. In the east the dawn was unfolding out of the darkness. Its glimmer was yet dim in the plain below." which tells me they were attacked. As i continued reading, there was a priest and a negro passing by who saw a boy lying down.
