“Thomas felt a tickle of courage inside of him-he grasped it,clung to it, urged it to grow.” (285) Courage is a main trait in the novel The Maze Runner by James Dashner. In the novel, society puts tenneagers in an elevator box and drops them off in a closed area surrounded by high walls and a labyrinth. Boys who are out there have no previous memory besides their name. Their main goal is to stay alive, until the arrival of Thomas. Thomas, Chuck, and the boys in the maze all have courage. When most people go to a new place, lost their memory, and have no idea where they are, tend to break down. Although when Thomas arrived in the maze he was calm and very curious. Thomas had so much courage and curiosity that he was willing to do anything
